Shangri-La Sydney

I spent the extra money to get a harbor facing room and it was so worth it! I was on the 25th floor and had a gorgeous view of the harbor and saw some beautiful sunsets. The hotel is conveniently located with the Opera House, harbor and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. There’s also a same day laundry shop within a 10 minute walk that can pick up and deliver your clothes to Shangri-La. The room was clean and quiet, with a nice soaker tub, comfy beds and cozy lighting!

Windows could do with a bit of a clean

Really enjoyed our honeymoon stay at the Shangri-La Sydney. We had a harbour view which was beautiful but the king bed was more two mattresses pushed together and the fan in the bathroom didn’t work. They offered us complimentary sparkling wine with chocolates and also highly recommend the breakfast buffet! If you reserve on checkin you do get a discount which is nice. Convenient location very walkable and close to public transit.

The cleanliness of the room

Central to everything we wanted to do. Easy access to oublice transport and shopping.

Located in the Rocks district, close to everything & great views from your room. Luxury accommodations, from the customer service to the towels, they paid attention to every detail. Lovely hotel! Don’t skip the restaurant! It’s marvelous!!!

Although described as walkable from Circular Quay this does not reflect the number of steps needing to be climbed with luggage. Staff are friendly but exceptionally slow to answer front desk phone or room service requests, an ice bucket is provided in the room but no access to ice machine, average wait for ice was 45 minutes Biggest issue was being told that we had complimentary laundry, we checked this 3 times with various staff members before using the service, we then received a $297 bill, this was eventually removed but only after I could name one of the staff members we had spoken to, a ridiculous amount of time was spent trying to check we had this service included and sorting our bill out. The breakfast is $40 if paid on arrival for all days or $52 if done on a day by day basis. 2 course meal in 36 floor restaurant is $100 per person. The hotel is quite dated in decor and expensive to eat or drink at Bell hops were fantastic and so helpful

Close and convenient to the overseas cruise port

Incredible hotel and staff. Everything was perfect. Bridge and Opera House view on 26th floor was stunning. High tea on 36th floor Elevation room was perfect.

We had a harbour view room and the view was spectacular we stayed for our 19th wedding anniversary and they brought us up a bottle of bubbles to congratulate us . Every aspect of our stay was beautiful and we will be staying there again when we are in town

Everything is good for the stay just beware there's a good climb to ready the hotel

A really unique experience. Staff are very helpful and courteous. Close proximity to the Rocks and Circuler Quay made the location so central for dining and entertaining out.
