This hotel was our family favourite all the time whenever we go to bandung. After 2 years, finally we back but unfortunately it is not as what we remember before. The front desk staff were so nice. But the main problem is located in the room itself. Upon check-in, I found out there was some of the defect (torn out wallpaper, traces of water leaking on the ceiling that disgusts me a bit). The room also smells musty I tried to understand it's because the hotel industry was in a mess and there might be fewer people who stayed at that hotel for such a long time. But it's not over, I found out the bed sheet was also torn out, with a big hole, we felt itchy. And after we spray on sanitiser we do found insect flying inside. I didn't want to complain a lot since it would be only one night to spend, but I notice also they reducing the main amenities. I booked a family room for 4 people and they only give two brushes. There is no slipper, and even they take out the coffee and tea minibar. We could not also take a hot shower, my father ask why there is no hot water, and they said they need to turn it on manually. We waited and after 25 minutes the hot water is turned off again, I and my sister couldn't take a shower. Once again I do understand the hotel conditions due to covid, I do also understand the prices are pretty cheap that's why I am not complaining about the amenities but the water supply is really important. There were 8 cars parked, and it's just unacceptable if they say they need to reduce the hot water supply due to a lack of guests. I do believe it's the right time for this hotel to regain its popularity again, and make old customers come back again since now everyone starts to travel again. But somehow they didn't do so and made me even not want to get back to that place anymore. I feel sad, l wished Chara hotel could be the same hotel that I knew before.
