Hotel Sahid Jaya Makassar

Old building, but new comfortable bedroom. Some facilities are not functional, but the rest is ok.

One of the oldest hotels in the city of Makassar. Strategically located in the city downtown right next to Ratu Indah Mall. Definitely has seen its better days, management should really consider major makeover if they want to compete with other newer competitors. Dirty stains and torn carpets everywhere. The room is very big though with this price range. Breakfast is so so. If you have multiple gadgets, you’ll definitely get frustrated with the super limited power outlet in the room.

Since check in till check out the day after, the hot water is not working. 3 times complaining but they just say there was some trouble have to be fix so its not working.They should’ve check all room facilities before giving room to costumer. Also the fruits they serve for breakfast is not fresh, I can see some bugs flies around the plate of the melon. It was really made loosing appetite. So disappointing, so I checked out early.

This stay has been a total mess. When I first arrived I went to the lobby bathroom and greeted by a very pungent odor and water all over the floor. There’s no AC in the lobby. Check in was terribly slow and I had to wait for 20 minutes in line. There’s 2 people, later joined by 3rd person but it seemed to me like they’re work in group. All three deals with one guest at the time. No eye contact/acknowledgement, no greetings, no smile, no apologies, no nothing. After check-in I still have to wait for additional 10 minutes for the key, they told me that they need to find available rooms. When we got to our rooms we were greeted by another disappointment, the room is extremely outdated. There’s stain everywhere on the bed, the table was dusty with a lot of food stain, towels wasn’t there when we arrived the housekeeping delivered it after 15 minutes. Every single metal in the bathroom is already reach certain degree of rustiness. Shower head is very bad. I ordered room service, another disappointment, more than half of the menu is unavailable. There’s no WiFi connection whatsoever! I ordered what’s available in the end, a plate of mee goreng that taste too salty. I definitely will not recommend this property nor stay again in the future. This hotel is not true to their 5 stars status at all, in fact the worst one I ever stayed in.

Comfortable room, it's just unfortunate that the breakfast menu every day is always the same, so I spent 3 nights there every morning having the same breakfast menu. but so far it's good.

Service is good, rooms are also big compared to other hotels. Close to the mall, access is in the middle of the city. Anyway great. Success is always my reliable sahid hotel

Great location, spacious rooms, it's just that the water in the bathroom is murky, really looks like the hotel is poorly maintained.

Like, because it includes our family's hotel subscription. If you take the kids to swim, because the pool is big and clean. Indeed, many hotels are close to home but Sahid is our first choice.

Desini is delicious, easy to find food, want to eat anything near 😍 But unfortunately the cleanliness of the room is lacking and the toilet (the faucet is rather difficult to play). If other problems are okay, it's great!

The most spacious room for the same price range. there is a bathtub and swimming pool which is just right for children.
