I booked a two-night stay at Expressionz, KL for my husband's birthday - my 2nd stay at this apartment since PRE-COVID. My first stay was via Airbnb and it was awesome. This time around I booked on Traveloka. The experience left much to be desired. Upon check-in, the reception requested for RM200 *in cash* as a deposit (not informed on the website). I was told that check-out is at 11am instead of noon as written on the website. I requested for late check-out as we arrived later in the day, but was told to simply let them know on the departure day itself. The apartment was as described, basic but clean. There were only 2 hangers to be shared between us, no tissue in the room apart from 1 roll of toilet paper in the toilet. Besides the room stay, everything else incurred additional cost, ie. parking (RM15/day), 48th floor swimming pool (RM10/entry even to take pics), and most ridiculously, basic housekeeping was RM100/day!! By the end of the 1st day, our trash stacked up in the room (leaving it outside the apartment incurred a RM200 fine!). Fresh towels and coffee/tea had to be requested (no initiative to send them to our room). On my departure day, I requested for late check-out (1pm). I was shocked to find out that this again incurred another RM50 eventhough the room was available as it was a Wednesday! It may not have been so bad if these were clearly stated prior to booking. In short, there was little to zero hospitality and there was no absolutely flexibility in tending to guest requests! The location is a 15-min drive to KLCC and Bukit Bintang but the property lies on a dead-end road that is perpetually congested, so be prepared to wait for half an hour to get a Grab. No shops and amenities within walking distance - not even for breakfast - you need to take a cab to go everywhere. There are only a couple of vending machines for coffee and snacks. I felt that the information available prior to booking was not transparent and I did feel cheated. I will definitely NOT come back here again.
