This hotel is older, and maintenance isn’t great.we got the family room and it had a few issues - damaged floorboard by one of the beds, leaky bathroom, and shower door could not close. Fortunately, after making a call and getting them to look at it, they moved us to a better room, which didn’t have the same issues, but it still had its problems. Lighting is poor, wifi is horrible, and the room is just older. Upkeep isn’t great. Some pros - Breakfast was good. Customer service from all staff has been great so far. Access to the beach is lovely, and the pool was nice. It’s moreso the rooms itself that wasn’t very great.

Location was excellent, hotel room looked old and dated, wasn't cleaned thoroughly on my arrival, their was crumbs on sofa, and toothpaste residues on tiles,mould was visible in wet areas, bed was extremely hard, view from balcony was beautiful, pool and outdoor garden area was gorgeous and well maintained ,hotel food from breakfast to dinner was very ordinary, needs more options, room service also needs more options on food menu, the menu should be changed at least once a week, I was there for 3 weeks and same food, their was plenty of restaurants outside hotel all walking distance, overall I enjoyed Penang and my stay at Bayview beach resort, it should be rated as 3 Stars

Room was in a very dilapidated condition.Door night lock was seized, safety lock very hard to operate. Bathroom sink,needed two hands for operation.Only two bathroom towels, no face cloths or any other towels, request for more was ignored bathroom was “repaired with lots of silicone

The property needs refurbishment.
Rooms are ok but just need painting and replacement of furniture and linen.
The lobby and restaurant need upgrading as does the bar. Pool area is good but if you have a bar pool open if .

The hotel is rather old although renovated still shows its age. Staff very friendly but reception did not have even a basic medicine such as Panadol. According to them management does not allow for this which I deem a necessary minimum for your guest when needed.

Disappointed that the pool bar was
closed for the duration of my holiday as it was one of the main reasons I chose the property. The price is good but all in all the hotel needs a refurb just a lil tired and run down. I would stay again if the pool bar was open mainly because of its price point.

The hotel was generally excellent. Good location, great breakfast, nice room and staff. The only slight disappointment was the bar services. Theye were a bit overpriced, the sunken bar hasn't been used for years, and the main bar had no atmosphere (or customers).
