General Check-in Instructions
Effective 1 September 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Residents of Malaysia are required to pay a tourism tax of MYR 10 nett per night per room for all registered hotels with the Malaysian Government. This is in addition to the existing taxes that could be collected at the hotel upon check-in. Please check with the hotel upon arrival regarding these taxes. Upon check-in, hotel Front Desk will collect from guests MYR 2.00 Local Government Fee per room per night (imposed by Penang Government starting from 1st June 2014). This fee is not included in room rates. You may be required to present valid government-issued identification at check-in, along with cash to cover the incidentals and deposits. This deposit will be fully refunded if there is no damage or abuse of facilities occurred among your stay. All special request such as additional car park, early check-in, late check-out etc, are strongly subject to availability. You are advised to liaise with owner directly at least 24 hours before arrival for special arrangement. Hotel may charge you additional fee for each extra person after reserves roomβs maximum occupancy. Any availability of extra bed or baby crib is subject to availability.

The staffs are friendly and the place feels homey. It's walking distance to the free CAT shuttle bus, to Chulia street and to almost everything.

I was enjoy staying there but maybe I get big room and the furniture not very clean .The bathroom was there but cant us must go out.Its okay but please make sure the bed was clean.tqsm

very old old hotel. I don't know why they get 8.7 stars .. not clean. even the floor not stable enough to stand. and we are 3 person room, they give us just 1 towel.

I was tired driving for 4 hours straight and when I arrived and starting to sleep. Hotel contractors are starting to do renovation and disturb my whole experience

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The room was smelly and dirty. The hotel is hard to find and very old. I think the room is not worth for the price. Deserve 1 star

Red Inn Cabana is located in the Penang chocolate museum area. Budget accommodation that can be chosen for a budget traveler, close to Penang's street art, Komtar, souvenir center, Padang Kota Lama, and culinary. There is a room with indoor, outdoor and shared dorm rooms. Helpful receptionist. Not suitable for family lodging. Don't want to say it's not good either because it's quite convenient for travelers and strategic budget.
