A great place to stay outside the bustling city centre of Singapore but close enough where all the attractions are within 15-20mins from the hotel via Taxi, Grab (Rideshare) or Bus.

Everything is very good and functions as one would expect. The only minor complaint I have is the speed that the shower responds to the water control. After I turn to hot water, it takes a long time for the shower to get hot. Similarly, when I try to lower the temperature, the shower would remain hot for a long time before it eventually becomes colder.

An overnight stay while travelling by bicycle along the rail corridor. Excellently situated regarding access to the route hence the choice. Whilst the hotel is lovely and very smart there are no facilities for secure overnight storage for our bicycles - they insisted Singapore was so safe that leaving them locked (with our own padlocks) outside on the busy public footpath was perfectly acceptable. The hotel staff very firmly refused to entertain any other options. For a hotel that promotes sustainability, perhaps this aspect needs reviewing if you want to encourage other environmentally aware guests.

Rooms were smaller then it looks in pictures. Overall it is good hotel minus tbe breakfast. Most of the dishes were empty by 9 AM and no one was even bothered to refill them. Even veg and non veg food were not marked. Imagine hotel ran out of butter and Jam at 9 AM. The story was same for all 4 days. Only last day one kind server offered us some veg food seeing kids were not happy.

air con did not perform as expected & every time 1 of d guest left the room it will automatically off even d other guest is still in the room.. we stayed 2 nights & the room did not cool down even it was adjusted to the lowest (16 deg). Also there is no comb provided even when requested from chambermaid.

The floor had painting works on going, the smell of thinner was very strong the moment we exited the lift. The room sensor was overly sensitive, when I lay in bed to watch drama on my phone and remain motionless, the aircon and lights turn off immediately as if there’s no one in the room. They did away with the hotel key slot but the sensor was overly sensitive, I called in the technician twice. The air con wasn’t cold, it would also be due to the recent extreme hot weather. I couldn’t even stay the night, it was way too hot, we went home.

When I asked for hand soap for the bathroom I was told they don’t provide hand soap so you need to go to the shower to take shower gel if you want to wash your hands. Later on, I asked to borrow an umbrella from the front desk. The male manager first said no without looking up. After I told him that I called first and knew there was umbrella loan service here, he pretended he didn’t just lie to me five seconds ago and asked for my room number rudely. I got my umbrella after all but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall the hotel is okay and most staff are really nice - but you can find somewhere of similar quality or better in Orchard easily
