We reserved a room with a private plunge pool, but the filter was broken so we couldn’t use it
The staff was great about apologizing - they have us a 2000 baht food credit and a bottle of champagne.
The spa is amazing - the hotel staff is excellent

The property falsely advertises itself with beautiful pictures. Nothing is clean - dirty walls, dirty bath towels, dirty shower area, etc. The food is absolutely horrible, and the staff doesn’t seem to care for what you need. Horrible service. In terms of location, its an ok location to get to places - however, no tuktuks around. You have to either call a car, use the hotel service, or not go out. The Spa of the hotel seamed like the cleanest area of the hotel. However, easily one of the worst massages we have gotten. We were burnt with hot stones, and they gave us a tiny body lotion sample size to “apologize” for what they caused. We do not plan on ever coming back, nor will recommend to other people.

I really liked this place. The pics on expedia are gorgeous. However, it has not been maintained to retain its original glory.
Its in old part of town, there isnt much around it. I guess that's why the hotel is not doing well.

The hotel was recovering from a flood so you have to take that in account. Rooms are good and overall it’s a nice place to stay.
However……
Do not purchase anything from the bar area with cash, they try to short change you.
This happened twice once on each day. Drinks were bought for 470 and 1000 was passed over. A 20 and some coin was returned as change. When we said “hey”, they say “sorry, sorry, sorry”. The first time they didn’t even put the purchase into the computer which is a poor sign, the second day they did. Both times they tried to give us the wrong change. Once they knew that we can count Thai Baht, they stopped, but by that time we started to put everything on the room.
As the management are ultimately responsible for the staff they hire, they get the 1 star for the hotel.

I loved how many plants surrounded the hotel grounds it felt like it was a peaceful jungle paradise while I was there. The morning buffet was also different everyday and it was so tasty. The staff were also lovely and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Would highly recommend if you’re going to Chiangmai but want to stay alittle further from the hustle and bustle of the inner city

The property has really nice decor a large area with two swimming pools and some fantastic amenities. However, it is really far from chiang mai old city and finding transportation late in night is a challenge . Also, the hotel has very limited shuttle options ( only 3 times in a day ) to take you to old city .

Great property, amazing staff. Pool was closed the first couple days and the water wasn't clear (didnt end up using the pool). A little far from center of town, and hard to hail a taxi or tuk tuk. recommend a ride share app if staying here. Breakfast is good, many options. definitely recommend.

The entire hotel is poorly maintained. Toilet bidet in the room cannot be off as water sprayed around. AirCon remote was very poor with difficulties to control, the power to the room was always faulty because the entrance key card contact was too poor and therefore I concluded that this hotel is overly rated.
