Very noisy.

Good location

Great Location for Manchester City Hotel was very clean, but it is tired and could do with modernising. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

I arrived at 4 am after a United match away. I forgot to book an extea day, but handicapped mate had room available at motel. Staff refused to let me stay with them or even sit in the lobby until opening hours! Disgraceful! And I had just completed a 7-night stay at the motel with no issues.I am 69 years old and they literally threw me out into the dark, wet night! I am so upset with them. The two, young motel employees kept saying that I must leave or they could lose their jobs! No common sense, no compassion, no caring. I will NEVER recommend this chain to anyone and will make it a mission to let travelers everywhere know of this incident and avoid the Travel Lodge Ancoats in Manchester.

First of all you had that it was self parking, but there is NO parking and secondly it was free wifi, but it’s NOT, it’s 30 minutes free!

This hotel has advertised as smoking rooms available and they do not... it’s exactly why I booked the hotel!!

The room is spacious clean and tidy. The staff are super friendly with local tips and during excellent abundant English breakfast. Just around all the North quarter spots in 5 minutes walk and 15 minutes walk to Picadilly station. only the traffic might cause a bit shake feeling now dunno why since I stayed on the top floor. Unfortunately the FREE wifi is not included but only 30 minutes per day.

Interesting mix of guests from all countries staying for all sorts of reasons. Staff were wonderful especially Julian the manager. Excellent breakfast.

At a 5 minute walk from Piccadilly Gardens it was very central. Even thought you are just on the fringes of the Northern Quarter it was a quiet hotel and I got a great nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and there was security on the door at night which was reassuring seeing as it's so close to so many late night venues. Also had the best tv service & channel selection of any hotel I've stayed in for a long time. I didn't eat in the hotel but the restaurant area looked clean and comfortable. The only negative things I have to say is the lift was painfully slow and that there was no shampoo / body wash in the bathroom.

Great hotel. Early checkin was available at 12pm for just £10.

Central location in city but parking poor. Only a handful of disabled parking spots at the rear of the hotel and mostly used by the staff. Car park ( private) opposite is very small and £10 - £15 per 24 hours stay. We only stayed one night. On arrival no staff on reception available. Had to go to nearby restaurant to get some advice on parking ! Check in was fine and staff helpful ( usually from 3pm) room very basic, light switch next to bed was noisy. Noise was a real problem. A huge commotion in the room opposite that night was disturbing, then police attendance in the early hours added to our disturbance. Check out was fine, staff very apologetic but I feel we have been robbed; promised a discount but still not had this. This was our very first night away in a very long time and we really shouldn't have bothered staying over; next time we will get the train home...

The front desk guy was free helpful and informative. Was kind to land us USB adapter. great breakfast!

I've been many times in Manchester and like to try different hotels there. This one is probably the best so far: Good location, nice room, great breakfast. Will definitely be staying here again.

very handy location

A pleasant hotel about 10 minutes walking distance of the city centre. The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were efficient and friendly. The most memorable thing about my stay was the excellent Full English breakfast. Very tasty. The only negative was that they charged £3 a day for the internet, which I think is petty. Today, this is like charging for the light bulbs

It was a confortable, clean room, but they nees to let free wi fi(it's free for only 30 mins and then you have to pay). The staff was helpful and nice

We kozen voor een simpele accommodatie en dat was dit hotel. We kozen voor een hotel met gratis WiFi, helaas kreeg je maar 30 min gratis WiFi daarna tegen betaling. Wat ik miste in de kamer was haardroger en theezakjes. Voor de rest was de kamer ok met badkuip.

Dette var en forferdelig opplevelse. Rommet var booket og betalt flere uker i forveien. Jeg reiste med min sønn og skulle sjekke inn - litt for tidlig på dagen. Det var ikke mulig å sjekke inn kl 14 - greit nok - men jeg sa vi kom sent, og da var svaret: Her kan man sjekke inn 24/7. Så vi satte igjen bagasjen bak disken og trodde alt var i orden. Da vi kom tilbake over midnatt, fikk vi beskjed om at det ikke var noen ledige rom. Vi fikk heller ingen hjelp til å finne rom på nytt hotell - og vi har ikke fått pengene tilbake. Dette hotellet var overhodet ikke hjelpsomme, og kan rett og slett ikke stoles på. Anbefales ikke!!!!
