I stayed at Legacy Residence Syariah with the understanding that this is a residence concept, not a full-service hotel. However, cleanliness and comfort are absolute standards for any paid place to stay.
Unfortunately, my experience was far from comfortable. The first night I couldn't sleep because the mattress was full of mites (bed bugs), causing my body to itch and get bumps. At 2 am I went downstairs, there was no receptionist because it was outside operating hours. Fortunately, there was a staff who helped change the sheets, and only the next morning at 9 am, my WA chat was responded to and I was moved to another better room after check out time.
In addition, the bathroom in the first room was very dirty, there were pantyliner marks in the shower and the drainage was not clean. The room hallway also looked poorly maintained. The facilities provided were very limited (1 towel, 1 drinking water), and there was no elevator. The location was also quite noisy because it was right next to the high school.
Another disappointing thing, after the uncomfortable experience on the first night, my request for a late check-out until 13.00 was not approved. I was only given extra time until 12.30, after that I had to pay again. I just wanted a little extra time to rest after a sleepless night that caused me a headache for a few days.
I understand the concept of “you get what you pay for”, but if the price is equivalent to a branded budget hotel, the expectation of cleanliness, comfort, and a little empathy in service should be met.
My suggestion is that rooms that have had dust mite cases be treated properly, or not sold at all.
