Great spot for our one night

Location was central to shopping and eating - room was perfect for us as two adults and two teens

Excellent location, close to Central Station: handy for train to Easter Show. Darling Harbour and Chinatown nearby. Good pubs and restaurants in hotel and nearby. Swimming pool was large and not busy, though the water was a bit murky. The sauna and spa made up for that shortcoming. Staff were helpful and courteous. Highlight for the children was the underfloor fishpond!

Not bad but it didn’t match our expectations for a 4-star hotel. Pros: Friendly staff. Lovely kids area with parlor games. Very central location with lots of affordable food nearby. Good for transit stays or solo travelers who like a busy area. We enjoyed the free drinks at Sydney Brewery & Cidery. The free buffet breakfast was good but a mix-up about it caused us a lot of stress. Room was clean and the bed was comfy enough. Cons: The hotel feels dated despite looking nice in photos. Our room had a musty smell, low ceiling, and older finishes (bathroom grout already brown). Noise was a big issue — we could hear neighbors, squeaky pipes, and a rattling fridge all night. Windows were scratched and hard to use, and the view wasn’t great. The area is quite rowdy, with people shouting and loitering outside, which didn’t feel ideal for our family. Also, no free slippers (they cost 4 AUD). Breakfast issue: Upon check-in, we were told breakfast was included. But the next morning at breakfast, we were told we had to pay. We went back upstairs to pack and leave. I brought it up during check out and they honored it — which honestly saved the day because we were all hungry and cranky. Overall: Not terrible, but not a 4-star experience for us. Staff were helpful and allowed early check-out with refund, which we appreciated. Probably better for transit travelers than families.

Great location near Hyde Park and the Museum Transit Station. A vibrant, walkable area. Great breakfast, nice hotel bar, friendly staff.

The young lass at the reception was very helpful and friendly, had a small issue and she fixed it easy

A great place to stay in the centre of Sydney, and you can park at world Square car parking, book it separately from the hotel to save yourself some money.
