The view up and down the Maroochy River is beautiful. Improvements could be made to the apartment including replacing the furniture especially the couch as the arm is loose, and the tatty cushions; the thin floor rugs which are stained; blinds are needed in the sunny lounge area; there is no door between the bedroom and ensuite; no mattress protector; there was a musty smell throughout and the apartment did not ‘smell’ clean nor was it sparkling. The kitchen is well equipped but tea towels too old: the lighting in all areas is too dull and especially bathrooms. Nowhere in the spiel is it mentioned there was no lift and 28 stairs to climb with luggage to the apartment no. 8 on 2nd floor needs to be noted. It is a nice apartment but could be a great apartment.

Quite large and open They have done a good job of the renovations in the unit 2 bedroom it requires an air con in the second bedroom It only has a ceiling fan which did not work They were gracious enough to supply a cheap fan which had a red light so bright I did not use 3 nights of quite warm nights Very clean and well appointed I think that they need to either tint the large sliding glass doors or put up block out curtains or both I am a fit 68 year old walking up the stairs no big deal If you are not you could be doing a bit of puffing Overall bit expensive but thats Australia now However I think they are doing a good job

The property itself was well positioned as it was close to all ammenities with a lovely view also. However, the managing agent - Sunshine Coast Getaways- treated us very poorly indeed, as they accused us of withholding the key to the property upon our departure. With no reception desk to the property, the key was collected from and returned to a lock box with combination code. Instructions provided to us were followed, with the key returned upon departure as directed. However, my husband received a very rude phone call from the agency stating their cleaner could not find the key and that the key was required due to “guests arriving “ that day. When I contacted the agency, I received an apology- the cleaner had, apparently, only “shaken “ the lock box and assumed the key was not within. I am astounded as to why the cleaner did not open the box, and more so that the agency did not direct the cleaner to do so. Instead, we were made to feel like criminals. The apology was too little too late, and has left us with a most unpleasant feeling after what should have been a pleasant experience for our little family. I would recommend that the agency, in future, asks the appropriate questions of the cleaner to ascertain the facts, and speaks with respect to guests. I would also recommend that guests photograph or video their placement of the key in the lock box and forward this to the agency if they desire no repeat of such a debacle.
