What Guests Say About Their Stay

We had an exceptional stay at Almanac Palais Vienna, where we spent a full week and enjoyed every moment. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a stunning two-floor suite, which truly elevated our experience. The suite was immaculate, beautifully designed, and even included a private sauna—an incredible touch that made our stay feel extra luxurious. The service throughout our stay was outstanding. Every member of the staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel well taken care of from start to finish. The location of the hotel is unbeatable—right in central Vienna (Zone 1). It’s within easy walking distance of many of the city’s main landmarks, and also very close to multiple transit options, including metro and underground stations, which made getting around effortless. This hotel is truly in a class of its own and ranks among the best accommodations we’ve ever experienced. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Vienna.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was wonderful. What we really loved: bathroom area and Japanese style toilet, marble lobby, room decor and lighting and true blackout blinds, lovely spa area for a quick dip and spacious storage. We didn’t pre book breakfast due to schedule but we did have it on one morning. It appears that if you don’t pre book/pay you have to order separately in the restaurant which was absolutely fine and really enjoyable with quick service and delicious food. The only small issues are as follows:the shower is powerful so one of us liked it and one didn’t but there is a bath instead. Room service is limited hours so you just need to plan it if using. The main lifts are quite slow. No huge problem but it isn’t due to overuse; they just run quite slowly. There was probably only one English speaking tv channel. Would recommend to others and definitely stay again.

Nice hotel. But feels a bit 'soulless'. Reception is in a room off the main atrium which means you hardly ever see anyone. Would be nice if reception staff were visible with a 'welcome back' comment when coming back. Rooms are nice, but the control panels are just painful. When will hotels realise light switches are just easier

The Almanac was a fantastic choice of hotel. The staff were magnificent from check-in to checkout and they went over and above to ensure our stay was as near to perfect as possible. , The breakfast was wonderful and we also dined in the restaurant one evening and the good and service was first class. The room was spotlessly clean and front desk was very helpful. I would absolutely recommend.

Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were extremely clean and modern. The hotel has a different concept, but very practical. They were always available to help, and most importantly, the air conditioning worked properly — very different from other hotels we stayed at during this trip in Europe. It was truly the best night of sleep we had. The only downside was the room service; there were few options on the menu, and everything we ordered was not tasty, and the soup arrived cold, as if it had just been microwaved. After that, we decided not to order anything else. But overall, it was a great experience.
