Mealea Resort

Mr Rinn , the hotel manager was so helpful and courteous. We could not fault him. Thanks Rinn. However, the resort needs upgrading and is somewhat rundown even though staff clean it very well. The gardens are also maintained which is a plus. The pool is clean but needs fixing in places. The rooms are dark and out of date so need upgrading too. We talked to Rinn about it and gave some suggestions. Breakfast is also weak, no Khmer or healthy options, no fresh fruit juice which is available. This needs changing too.

Very nice place at walking distance of the Crab market and restaurants. Right in front the ocean. Very nice swimming pool and garden. Very friendly staff. They don't offer lunch of dinner but there is plenty of restaurants with all options at 1 min walk. Breakfast is included though

Very nice and relaxing place. Continental breakfast. Electric outlets in the room are questionable.

Staff very kind, room is clean , proper but bathroom has to be renoved. Too much humidity, gravel system for drain (?) is too dirty to walk in. Renovation needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mealea. It’s located in beautiful tropical and peaceful gardens, surrounded by flowers, geckos and birds singing. Across the street is a place to sit and enjoy the most beautiful sunset over the water. It’s just a short walk to the market, the beach and restaurants. The staff is very attentive and accommodating with all your needs. If visiting Kep again, I would stay here again.

Excellent service and great location near the restaurant and the fish market You can order food at the hotel directrly from their restaurant menu They don't cook there but have a full Italian menu which will be delivered in 15-20 minutes. I recommend you to order from there as the price are the same as if you go to the restaurant. But there it will safe and you will be alone around the pool to enjoy your anti-pasti, pasta or pizza.... a bottle of wine from the hotel cost just 14 $ for example Friendly and warm hotel

An excellent and very quiet property, this was my third, but not my last, visit. I look forward to my next visit.

Good location, very close to the Crab Market. The restaurante had no restaurant, and the breakfast was just OK. The hotel doenst have nothing special. Just a place to rest, and the staff didn't do anything to please us.

I enjoyed this stay very much. I staff were very responsive when my light bulbs needed changed and such. The garden and pool were well maintained. Plus, the crab market was within walking distance. The only issue I had was the breakfast. It wasn't enough. I told the owner about it and she was appologetic. I would love to stay there again, but I wouldn't include breakfast for next time.

I can not believe this place has good reviews on Hotels.com, they must be fake or paid for reviews. I had 2 night here at Kep and chose Mealea based on positive reviews and the photos. Well what a dump. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It’s not a resort, it’s no better than a 1970s hostel ( even hostels today are better). It was dirty, old, poorly maintained. The room smelt of mould and sewerage and was so unkept. The linen was dirty and had holes in it. The mattress was old and vile and had no mattress protector ( I slept on the bed in shorts and T-shirt). The towels stunk of mould and were threadbare and 1 had a huge hole in the middle. The bathroom was vile and the floor was some type of painted clay and was always wet and stunk of mildew. I showered in flip flops and this is the 1st time I do this in a hotel ever. The pool was so dirty and slimy around the edge and the sun loungers were filthy (it would take 5 minutes to clean the lounges but nobody seems to care at this place). The breakfast served up the oiliest eggs I have ever seen and the bottom of the eggs were covered in black crap off the frying pan. The staff were unprofessional and at 06:45 each morning arrived to work and were chatting so loud it woke me up and I asked them to be quieter. They were yelling across the gardens to each other as they cleaned the bungalows and had no regard for guest peace and quiet. Very unprofessional behaviour. Worst place ever. Should not be on Hotels.com.

Don't want to be too positive because I want to keep it to myself. One of the best locations in Kep, in my opinion. Quiet. Right across the street from the water and about 100 meters from Crab market. Beautiful sunsets sitting by the pool.

It was very beautiful and peaceful there, the staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

Wonderful garden setting but room had no outlook. It was close to crab market and the swimming pool was great and overlooked the sea. Breakfast was acceptable and had options at an extra charge.Staff friendly and helpful.

Lovely location. Room has plenty of toiletries and robes were provided. The bed was very comfortable. While close to the fish market, the hotel itself is secluded and quiet. Kep beach is livelier and only a 15 minute walk away. They can arrange tours for you as well.

Friendly staff and a good breakfast. Close to carb market. Some of the tuk tuk drivers around were overpriced.
