What Guests Say About Their Stay

We had the ocean view suite and were more than pleased with it. I believe it’s the premier room there and we just were fortunate to have it. The place was wonderful. The building is a little bit dated, but it was built in 1900 and has been refurbished. It was a great place to watch the sunsets from our suite or the deck. The lobster boats were tied up to the pier across the way and we were close to restaurants. Most of the amenities were above par but we do a good deal of cooking in, and I would suggest that they refresh the cookware

It's a simple but cozy place. Everything functional (heating, small appliances, shower). It's maintained with care.

We only spent 1 night but it had everything we needed. Location was good. We arrived mid-May so the town was very quiet. Bed was comfy and place was clean.

We placed a request for extra bedding when we arrived, never heard back. Coffee maker didn't work and there was a left over pod still in it and there was also an old filter in the basket section that had gone moldy. There was a light in the bed room that the knob was broken on and couldn't be used. Place really needs some TLC. Everything else was ok.

It was adequate for our needs. Clean, comfortable, I liked the the fishing boats outside it was nice to go and look at the Bay in the morning. There are no staff on site but check in via calling upon arrival was easy. The only complaint I have was the coffee didnt have any creamer or whitener included and I can't drink black coffee. Overall would stay again.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Due to a mistake made by the hotel staff, we were taken to the wrong room. Instead of offering a sincere apology, the hotel forced us to move rooms and treated us as if we were unauthorized intruders. The entire situation was handled very poorly and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I also want to warn future guests ⚠️: the hotel’s so-called “Suite” is NOT a real Junior Suite unless you pay extra for the Premium Suite category. The room we received was extremely small, with only a tiny bed, poorly arranged furniture, and an overall worn-down feeling. To make matters worse, there was a huge air-conditioning unit right outside the room. It kept turning on loudly throughout the night, creating constant noise that made it almost impossible to sleep. Overall, both the service and the room quality were far below expectations. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel unless you are willing to pay for the Premium Suite option.

This big clean suite felt upscale - thanks for the upgrade! We would have appreciated more towels and wished K-pods had been provided. The view was beautiful and watching the working dock was fascinating. We loved the renos to this great old building and would come again.

When we arrived the unit had a very unpleasant odor. It clearly had been cleaned thoroughly with a slight smell of bleach present, but it could not eliminate the bad odor. The cleaning person was very kind and had clearly done a good job but could not alleviate the smell - kind of like mildew and dog.. We left the windows open while we went to eat, which did help some. Plus one window wouldn't lock.

Calling this room a suite is a stretch .. More like a low-end motel room with a couch, mini fridge, and microwave. There was a Keurig coffee machine but no cups and no cream and sugar. There were two wine glasses but no way to wash them. There was no kitchen. The towels were adequate, the sheets were worn. The building is on a gravel lot on the working wharf. The curtains were not sufficient to completely block the windows from someone looking in. Fortunately it's off season and no one was actually back there. It was okay for a motel room, but extremely expensive and not at all what I expected.
