What Guests Say About Their Stay

Excellent facilities for what we were looking for, on our weekend to Kanaskis. This unit is truly what 'Glamping' is all about. The added touch of our own private 'washroom/outhouse' was a bonus. Super close to Kanaskis village which made it super convinient to visit the Nordic Spa for our girls weekend. The price was a little on the high side, and the only negative was that our wood stove wasn't working properly. Night one, we were able to get the stove to go, however day 2, we could not get it to catch. Our wood was completly dry, not sure if the damper was working properly, or if there was something plugging the chimney. Would have made our stay for the weekend a 10/10, however with this small hiccup, its a solid 9. (There was a heater on site)

Fabulous location close to the river and trading post. Really happy that we had our own long drop toilet I hadn't realized that was part of the deal

Amazing service, private and clean rooms. Bathrooms were very nice with hot showers, with clean outhouses nearby. Felt very safe from any wildlife. Beautiful views of the mountains all around us too!

Was passing by and thought we should just get a "hotel". We decided to stay here as it was a bit on our way. Little did we anticipate that it was far out of our way, leading us to get in "late". The desk was closed after 9 but we got there shortly before 10pm. The hotel staff were nice enough to leave the directions to our camp in a box outside since we got in after the front desk closed. Unfortunately we found this just to be a very expensive campsite as we had a cold sleep and no light coming in late. The idea is cute but we didn't do the homework on the property as we were just passing by. We didn't have blankets or bedding (unaware we needed that) but luckily the "hotel" was able to rent us some blankets. But for the price of hotel, next time I'm sorry but we will just get a hotel.

Our family stayed in a trapper tent in May. The campground was well maintained and the set up was intuitive and had everything we needed. The tent itself was basic, but was a good size for our family and the campsite itself was a good size. My only feedback would be to replace the kerosene heaters. Not only were they not reliable and finicky to use, but the smell was really bothersome. If an electric or solar heater was used instead, and we had consistent heat, I would rate our stay 5 stars.

I hope we can choose our specific campsite number upon booking rather than finding out when we arrive, since you get what you book anyway. Also, there should be a walking trail along the river. The view by the river is beautiful so we could walk and enjoy the scenery, the staff is helpful, and the surroundings are very clean.

The only real issue I have is there was no bear bins for food I was just told to leave it in the car, but I was also told they were going to build some later into the season. Everything else was fantastic with my stay.

We were quite pleased with our stay. It was clean and well set up. Only complaint was with communication. We asked for clarification if blankets and pillows were provided and didn’t get a clear answer so packed them as that wouldn’t be ideal not to have. When we arrived the bed was made with blankets and pillows.
