You get what you pay for. It was okay. Room was not ready when arrived, past the allowable check-in time. Was told I would get a modest rebate, but it never happened. So, a little disappointing. Front desk was "overwhelmed" and walked away from me when I inquired as to why my room was not ready. Manager had to take over. I was very cordial and not the least bit confrontational. Manager explained staffing challenges. Room was basic, simple, and adequate for one night. Since Valemount is more a place you pass through, rather than spend a lot of time at, there is a lack of options for the small little village.

The first room we were given had a dirty bathroom (poop on toilet seat, hair all over tub) and no soap - which after a long drive with a toddler was extremely disappointing. Staff assigned us a new room, which turned out to already be occupied, so we were assigned a third room. The running around from room to room, at night, tired, with a toddler, was tough. The front desk worker was very apologetic and friendly, however I would not stay here again.

Basic hotel with few amenities. Wood framed building so expect some noise with guests in room above if your on main floor. Good for a one night stay while driving thru the mountains.

We rented a queen kitchenette. It was more like a double bed right up against the wall no space between the air conditioner, which is probably the original equipment from 1980s. , no table and chairs to dine at better utilization of space would’ve made the visit more enjoyable
