Very fun concept for a hotel! The room was spacious and had all essential amenities. We very much appreciated the hotel arranging wine tours for our stay in the area and a transfer to the airport. The food at the hotel restaurant was too notch. Do be aware that the hotel is at the top of a hill. This gives a great view, but can be challenging to get to on foot.

Rooms were very dirty and dusty like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. I got food poisoning from dinner at their restaurant on our first night. Breakfast was in their open terrace and not ideal with rainy mornings every day. The staff are volunteers and cleanliness was not a priority. Breakfast was chaos. Empty platters and long wait times for coffee/eggs/bread. We took our breakfast down to our rooms and had to make multiple trips to carry plates down as there were no seats as open tables were wet. We were in the 4th floor and had to carry heavy suitcases up flights of stairs with no elevators available. Really remote neighbourhood so we had to uber eats food for meals on days we didn’t want to risk eating at their restaurant again. Very disappointed and unhappy with our stay.

The hotel does not have an elevator Breakfast is on the 5 floor and the same every day. Close to the downtown but it’s a lot of stairs and hills to overcome. Not recommended for older people.

Very friendly staff at reception helped us check in to this unusually designed hotel. Decor is tired, with springs poking through the sofa in our room and marking/staining to surfaces/floors. Years of accumulated dust in crannies make guests feel a bit undervalued. The rooftop restaurant has fabulous views, but the team staffing it on Christmas Day had no enthusiasm and very little food to offer. That didn't stop them charging full price for it. Breakfast is better, but under staffed and therefore slow. Nobody in the team asked how our stay was. Disappointing.

The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The issues I experienced are no elevator to bring up my luggage, no lunch available, and it was difficult to find out how to warm up the room. However, the staff were willing to bring the luggage up and down the stairs. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of food and beverages.

The hotel was even better than expected, and we had high hopes. The view from the roof top restaurant was unbeatable. Starting the day with that view and their excellent complementary breakfast (not your normal hotel breakfast) was amazing. Rooms were funky and well designed. Location was great, as were the staff. Book it!

Super cool spot to live out the fantasy of being a successful modern artist in a repurposed container car that has been converted into a luxurious, full service, studio apartment, decorated by top tier street artists, that puts various Western Pop Culture icons ( Pulp Fiction, Barbarella, Debbie Does Dallas, etc. ) through a distinctly South American, rainbow colored lens, with dashes of indigenous mythology pepper in throughout. Located dead in center of Valparaiso's hills, so during the day you have an unobstructed view of the ocean, and at night gaze at a completely different sea of city lights in any direction you look. Not in a tourist zone, this is a real Valparaisan neighborhood, but any where you want to visit is minutes away by car, and anything you want to eat is easily obtained via delivery apps, or their roof top bar restaurant, which offers billion dollar views of the ocean, and city. Fans of places like Lisbon, Barcelona, and Milan will dig the vibes in this hotel, and the city of Valparaiso overall.

Set atop the hill, the views are a major drawcard, but it does mean you have to brave the walk up the hill (or take an Uber). The hotel sits on a weird bend in the road, and the security doors (wonderful when you're a guest) don't look very welcoming when you arrive! We came at a very busy time so the receptionist was very busy checking multiple guests in and didn't hear the bell, so we probably waited outside longer than most. Once we were inside though, we felt very safe and the decor and furniture is very welcoming. The pods are cleverly designed to fit bed, bath and kitchen in, while leaving a good living space and balcony to enjoy the views, which are breathtaking. We spent quite a lot of time standing on the balcony enjoying the vista during our stay. I wish we liked wine more so we could have taken advantage of the offered bottles a bit more - we had dinner on the roof twice (amazing pizza the first night but limited to the charcuterie board the second due to 'lack of ingredients', apparently). That was disappointing as we were so far from the town and it was inconvenient to go elsewhere by that time. Overall it didn't really detract from the experience (not for me anyway, hubby might tell a different story). Really loved this hotel, even though we thought Valparaiso wasn't as impressive up close as we'd hoped.

The staff here are fantastic and the idea of staying in a “Container” is a novelty. However, there is no air conditioning or heating, though there is a table fan in the room and they provide a heater if you ask (you might need one as it gets cold in the night). The containers are very well equipped, there’s a full functioning kitchen with an espresso machine and fully stocked mini bar. The balcony doors open wide, but you can’t keep them open due to potential insects flying in. If you do have a middle unit, it can get foot heavy when someone is walking in their room above you. The breakfast is simple and nothing too fancy, but the staff are always attentive and caring. They have a small garage that fits around 6 cars - so you may not always get a parking spot. The rooms do need some amount of upkeep, as the age did show on the bathrooms and the floorings + room walls. The best part of this hotel is circularity use of bathtubs, kegs, wine barrel, crates - as chairs and tables.
