This is an excellent hotel, clean, good location for the conference center. However it’s Internet sensory is horrible. I have absolutely critical business names that I had planned to do at the hotel. But the censoring was so bad that I had to go to a McDonald’s or a coffee shop in order to do this, laded night. I had specifically planned my time to address these at the hotel. Even companies whose parents are in Europe for the rest of their sites blocked, even though you can access the Chinese offices website. And most apps on my phone I had to use cellular data. There is no reason for this. Every single other Internet access point I had anywhere in the city could get those other websites. Likewise on my phone through cellular data. It is locally blocked by the hotel. This is such a big issue for business that I will not be able to stay at this hotel we can, even though it is a good place. The funny thing is, this is my second attempt to review this, and when I submit it gets blocked. How ironic.

Business stay; thruout hotel, staff's English was dismal and made it difficult and tedious to communicate with restaurant and front desk staff was very difficult. Asked front desk if they could mail a letter and no one knew what I meant, even after I showed the envelope. Business center was never open; barbershop, which is listed on spa floor, was no longer open, either. Not up to Nikko standards, sorry. In a town where good hotels are abundant, you have to do better.

No problems, really enjoyed my stay. Ask for a room facing the water because the view is lovely. If you have time, walk down to the beach, it's only about 1/2 kilometer. The rooms are a bit dated, but nothing major--just regular wear & tear. What really stood out for me was the friendly staff, great breakfast, and convenient location. All worth my $90 for the night. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Although breakfast starts at 6:00 am there was no coffee until after 7:15. We asked a few times and at one point they said they said don't serve coffee. After telling them we will be leaving in 15 minutes did they finally bring us our coffee which was just a couple minutes before they brought out the pot of coffee. Other that that bad experience, there was great choice at the breakfast buffet.

Walking distance to Convention Centre and quiet environment around the hotel, good for morning or evening walk. Well service hotel with very good restaurant options. Spacious bathroom and was surprised to have a nice and clean balcony in the room.

3 night stay for business in an executive floor room. Arrived on late flight into Xiamen - check in went smoothly around 11.30pm. Had breakfast included in room price - a pretty decent buffet affair, although coffee is kept in a hot pot and not as fresh as would have liked. Hotel is opposite International Convention centre and about 20 min walk from shopping/restaurants. Beach is 10 min walk away. Service was good throughout, some staff happy to chat in English in the executive lounge. Lounge was a bit restricted in times of food/drinks service but good quality snacks etc. Pool was large, clean and excellent for doing lengths. The gym had enough decent kit to get a good work out. Had dinner in the Japanese restaurant on 28th floor, food was good value but no sign of a Japanese chef - all were local, but nonetheless food was pretty authentic and around £30 to fill me up and a beer and sake included. Looby bar was large very quiet, around £4 for a glass of house wine and a decent meal around £10. Overall a good stay, not sure if the executive lounge is worth the extra - depends on how much you use it but good place to get on and do some work - WiFi throughput the hotel was sufficiently fast. Would return if business was in the area, although taxis into main centre of Xiamen were only around £4-5.
