What Guests Say About Their Stay

We absolutely loved our stay here! We were a little hesitant about the location when booking, but it ended up being perfect. We had a private driver and tour guide throughout our trip, which made getting around easy, and the hotel itself exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooftop restaurant alone is worth staying here for the food was soo good, and the views were absolutely incredible, especially at sunset. They don’t serve alcohol, which is typical in general for the culture but they offer a variety of non alcoholic cocktails you could easily add your own travel sized bottles to make a drink. The pool area was beautiful and our room was huge. We especially enjoyed having a private Jacuzzi, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Others had mentioned the street noise, but it didn’t bother us. The breakfast each morning was also great, especially being included, with plenty of options. Overall, this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would happily stay here again.

A great night stay. The reception are exceptional and courteous. I slept comfortably and well, especially after long flights, comfort was a big plus. The restaurant has amazing choice for breakfast and I’m partial to the cinnamon roll (made with croissant pastry), so brilliant. Very fresh orange juice and great fruit. The hot choices are delicious as well. Will be back the next time I’m back in Giza.

We had a triple room with a balcony - could sit outside and see the pyramids. Very clean room and amazing cleaning staff - each day we came home it was perfect. Great water pressure and hot water. Great showers. The pool is big enough to do short laps and is heated. The top floor restaurant has a great view of the pyramids and offers a good mix of food. We were here 8 nights so we had breakfast everyday and dinner for 4 of the nights. We had gone to other more much more expensive restaurants and it was on par. This location is down the road from the chaos immediately by the pyramids - we liked being close to the action but not stuck in it. We recommend this hotel.

I would not recommend staying at Mazar Pyramids Hotel, especially if you are a female traveller. From the moment we checked in, we felt uncomfortable. Several members of staff, both male and female, constantly stared at us throughout our stay, making us feel unwelcome and uneasy, they would make sly comments unaware i could understand arabic. The staff there behave as they have not seen women before, 90% of the staff there should not be working in a hotel or be around tourists as they are very close minded people. The management and owner should be aware of the behaviour of the people they employ, as this reflected very poorly on the hotel. The incident that crossed the line occurred while we were relaxing by the pool. A group of men stood above the pool area and began taking multiple photos of us without our consent. When I confronted one of them, he quickly tried to justify it by claiming the photos were for his social media. I had to explain that taking photographs of guests in a pool area without their permission is completely inappropriate. After this incident, we no longer felt comfortable using the pool or tanning area, which significantly affected our trip. Another issue that I am surprised more reviews do not mention is the noise. Every night from around 11:00 PM until approximately 3:30 AM, there was extremely loud music coming from the surrounding banqueting halls. Even with earplugs, it was impossible to escape the noise and get a proper night's sleep.

The views from the hotel’s panoramic rooms are amazing and the breakfast was of good quality. The hotel is on a main street which is very noisy. If you are sensitive to noise, bring your headphones. Rooms lack proper maintenance. I had to call the front desk several times to send someone to fix things. Even the elevator’s lights were out, so it was pitch black while in it. Beds were comfortable, but all in all a bad experience.

Our room was amazing, we splurged a little bit on the corner room with a pyramid/“mountain” view and jacuzzi. The room was HUGE and very clean. The complementary breakfast buffet was great. The restaurant/balcony area was AMAZING and sooooooo beautiful. Uber was able to drop us off and pick us up here easily.

The staff are so attentive. Couldn’t have asked for better. Breakfast had a lot of choice and they were happy to cook anything else fresh. We are vegetarian but they were happy to adapt the menu for us. Egypt is not very vegetarian friendly. Any issues were immediately resolved. Rooms were adequate and the pool was clean and well kept. Lovely at the end of a day sightseeing. I would happily stay here again. Thank you to all the staff who made our trip so special.

My family stay here was absolutely amazing and very comfortable. Staff were very kind and attentive , making sure we were happy and comfortable at all times. My room was lovely clean and had a lovely balcony looking over the swimming pool. Restaurant in the hotel was the best and food was delicious. Hotel provided tour guide and car at an extra cost to see the pyramids and other sight seeing and it was all very worth it as I felt safe travelling with them with my family . You can see the pyramid view from restaurant while dining. The best part is the Pyramids are only 20 minute drive from the hotel. Other tourist places like the Eygptian museum , Mall of Eygpt, famous Mosque of Muhammad Ali are all within an hours drive of the hotel if not less. Stayed in Egypt on a layover, decided to get a hotel in Giza to visit the Pyramids. For anyone going to Giza, Mazar was an exceptional, albeit short stay. The staff were some of the most pleasant, and helpful people I met in Egypt. We only got a basic room, but even then came at a very nice quality for the price. Again, would like to state this was some of the best staff I’ve experienced at any hotel!
