Everywhere was clean and the seating area in the garden was delightful with comfortable chairs & parasols over the tables. Staff were friendly & helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good as were the evening meals. Plenty of car parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

On arrival we were initially shown to room 20, which sadly fell short from our expectations of experiencing a clean , modern room. The bed base looked as if it needed replacing in so much as the sides were peeling away at the very bottom on to the floor with loads of bits on the carpet, and the mattress looked as if it had sunk on both sides in the middle. The bathroom was not clean, the toilet had stains on the inner bowl at the back and on the seat. The decor desperately needed updating, cheap wooden table and drawers which were knocked in several places and window surrounds had parts peeling away from it. We did mention the bed and toilet and were offered a different room immediately. Hence to say, cannot fault the staff in their courteous approach to trying to rectify the problem. The decor in the subsequent room was exactly the same as the first, very outdated, wooden furniture very knocked on edges. The bed base in the second room was in a significantly better condition and the toilet was clean, apart from some dust around the back hinges of the seat.I thought parking was absolutely fine, plenty of room for cars to easily park & move around. Breakfast was hot, cooked sausages, bacon , eggs (scrambled or fried), hash browns, tomatoes & mushrooms was ok, although bacon lacked flavour. Also a small selection of cereals, croissants , bread for toast and a fruit salad which looked as if it had come from some tins. The Manor is set in beautiful grounds with stunning views

Hotel has a lovely view and pretty grounds, but unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to enjoy them or sit on the terrace etc. The interior of the hotel is very dated and the hallways smelt musty. However, the rooms were perfectly clean and of a good standard, althought the bed was a little uncomfortable. The bathroom was fitted with a power shower that looked new and worked well. There was plenty of car parking. Staff were freindly and breakfast was very good, althought the dining area did not have a great ambience. We did not eat at the hotel in the evening. The hotel is in a rural location so it was necessary to drive to reach town, but the price did reflect this. Falmouth as a whole seems to be very highly priced at present, so although less than the hotels in town, this stay did not feel like great value for money.

Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.

Lovely welcome and the restaurant staff were so friendly. Room was very comfortable and we had everything we need (except a working plug in the bathroom sink?!!) The only thing we’d like the hotel to think about is the lack of vegetarian options on the dinner menu. There was no vegetarian option printed on the menu - chef did provide something very tasty but there was only one dish available and so we didn’t eat there again after the first night. Location is great for visiting a student at the uni and very quiet, beds very comfortable. We preferred it to the Merchants Manor and will return.

Stayed for a weekend for the sea shanty festival. This hotel is clean and friendly but desperately in need of repair and a serious update. The view from the patio is lovely and the grounds could be spectacular if they were cared for.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the setting was beautiful. The hotel was a bit dated and the room got very warm at night. The shower in room 10 was great. More sockets for charging were needed as there was only one, it would have been very difficult if I had been with my husband. The breakfast was lovely and they cooked what you wanted. It was a great location for me as my daughter was graduating from the university and it was only 10 minutes up the road. I only stayed 1 night but would loved to have spent another couple of nights.

The customer service was a disappointment. Only few staff members who were in the dining area and the receptionist were polite but the hotel manager and the owners of the hotel were extremely rude to the customers.

Thank you for our lovely stay - we were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the time away. Just a little disappointed as the room did not appear to be typical of the pictures of the upgrade to the Manor - although it was perfectly nice.
