What Guests Say About Their Stay

Super friendly staff, who were chatty and helpful. The room was clean and comfy. My room did need a bit of tlc in parts but did not impact my stay in any way & I'd stay in the same room again. Safe car parking, and plenty of it. I wasnt too keen on getting woken up at 8am sunday morning by housekeeping in the corridor, but that does seem to be in every hotel these days. A great stay at a good price, I will definitely use again thank you

I had a great stay here. The hotel is clean. The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint, (but I'm being really picky here) they were comfortable and cosy. Perfect for our needs. The breakfast was tasty and plentyfull. You can help yourself as much as you want. Full English, pastrys, toast, fruit, cereal & yoghurt. A very pleasant stay and great value for money

This is ok for a quick stop over only. The hotel is tired and not well-maintained. The first room we were given has a strong smell of smoke so couldn't stay there as it was like tasting an ashtray!. They changed the room straight away with no hesitation and the room was fine for what we needed. A bed for a few hours!. The nets behind the curtains were all ripped. The bed was clean and comfortable. We did not use any other facilities as it was just a pit stop. The reception is tiny but the staff seemed nice. They do charge £5 for parking which is a flipping cheek!

It does a job. Room wasn’t the cleanest, bathroom wasn’t the cleanest. Hallway outside the bedroom wasn’t the cleanest. I probably wouldn’t go back but it did its job for 1 night. Receptionist was one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met though so that was nice

Dated room, smelt of animals, wasn’t particularly great. Asked for a room change and somehow the alternative that was offered was worse than the one we stayed in.

A very dated hotel. Welcome at reception luke warm with a team that seem disinterested in providing a welcoming friendly greeting to arriving guests. Many windows broken, rooms in need of a deep clean and refresh. Small amounts of mould and poorly repaired sealant in bathrooms. Towels and bed linen clean. There is very much a vibe of “how little can we do to maintain the hotel, how cheaply can we do this repair, how little can we pay and invest in our employees”. And that approach shows. There is also now a charge for car parking at this hotel which isn’t made clear. Breakfast is extra. The Brewyers Fayre just down the road does a cheaper and better breakfast than here.

Very disappointing. Walls in the bedroom were covered in scuffs alongside a large hole. Carpets are stained and there are stains around the sides of the shower tray. There is also a £5 parking charge per night. It seems a bit silly to charge for parking for a hotel in the motorway services. How else are you meant to get there 😂. When I spoke to reception, I asked them if my room had been cleaned. The answer I got was that the hotel was at full occupancy (presuming he was meaning that we couldn’t be moved). The staff member did give us breakfast the next for our inconveniences. Honestly though, pay the extra money and stay somewhere clean. As if there is an issue with your room, they may not be able to change it for you.
