My room was more like a small apartment which was clean & comfortable & the free breakfast was a nice bonus. I didn’t get chance to try the restaurant but it was busy and smelt delicious, overall a very good value for money stay & I’ll definitely stay at the George again if I’m in town.

We booked a one night stay at the George and will 100% stay again. Please bear in mind that this is a very old building so it is not perfect but at the same time does not show and major issues. The room was clean with a large comfortable bed and all the usual bits and pieces. The lady in charge is very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. The restaurant is a Ghurka and I must say that the food is absolutely amazing and shouldn't be missed. The George is in a nice location directly opposite the Severn Valley Railway station and about a 15 minute walk into town. There are only 2 parking bays which are reserved for disabled drivers but the car park directly opposite is a pay and display with a very reasonable charge of only £4 for 24 hours.

This was a very comfortable stay at a good price. Room was clean and coffee, tea and water available. My husband was thrilled that the price included a full English breakfast. Very good location and just £4 to park opposite for 24 hours.

We were shocked at the condition of the property as we had been led to believe--by reviews that must have been 20 years old--that it was well-maintained and supported. There were no amenities (the rooms had a poor quality shower and cracked furnishing), no staff available except during bar and restaurant times, only two parking spaces on the property, and no lift (narrow stairs as well). The "continental breakfast" consisted of tea or coffee you made yourself, corn flakes or granola, and orange juice. The second morning the milk was off and no one was around to provide fresh! We were seriously disappointed and it put a damper on our few days away in Shropshire.

The George is opposite the Severn Valley Railway Station, perfectly situated for us, as we had steam train tickets. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but the hotel is on a busy road which was noisy early in the morning. The breakfast was very good, and portions are generous. We dined in The Gurkha restaurant one evening. The food was excellent. Overall, a pleasant stay and very good value.

Our room had a balcony/roof top area which was good. The bed was comfortable. The price was good and it was a good base, only 10 minute walk to Bridgnorth centre. Parking was available across the road at £4 for 24 hours. One of the chairs was partly broken in our roof top area and the wall mounting for the shower head was poor. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work. We had a 2 night stay and we were happy with our stay overall. We had a breakfast on our last morning which was very good.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the area. It could do with a bit of freshening up of the paintwork. Our room was clean and well stocked with tea/coffee and bottles of water. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not need a carpark but there was one opposite that charged £4 per 24hrs.

The room I booked was for 4 people. It was spacious and clean with functional kitchen and bathroom. However there was only one set of cutlery and two cups which made it difficult for us all to have a drink or eat anything. There was also only a small table with 2 seats. Cooked breakfast was included and was reasonably good but I would have also like to have the choice of a cereal option as well. The Hotel is in a good location albeit on a road. It was easy to walk to both low town and high town in about 10 mins. Overall our stay was good.

Was not particularly impressed. The bathroom was quite possibly the best room. Saw one member of staff the entire time and only saw him once at check-in. The bar was closed for some reason. The radiator in my room was so filthy it had a tail of unbroken dust flapping about at the bottom of the radiator. Somebody had left the key to what I can only assume is a storeroom in the door from around 12pm and was still there when I checked out the next day

On arrival a warm welcome. Parking just over the road £4.00 for 24 hours which was pointed out to us as we thought it was svr users .Can't say enough on how freindly and helpful all the staff were, from the greeting to advising us on the nepalese menu ,food was great and Suraya texted us to ask us what we wanted for breakfast as we hadn't ordered. They went that bit extra. The George was clean and tidy but needs needs some tlc . In all a great break in Bridgenorth and will stay at the George again and definitely use the resteraunt for their great food.

Very friendly staff and room was in a very good and clean condition. One has to remember that it is above/adjacent to a pub/restaurant and so there some minor issues with outside lights and sounds due the the kitchen fan (which was turned off once the kitchen closed for the night). Also note that the place has no on-site parking but the car park opposite offers space at £4 per day. Well served, British breakfast. Overall, a lovely experience.
