On first impressions this looks like a decent budget hotel. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are modern but that’s where the positives end. The biggest issue is the noise. The soundproofing is poor and you can hear conversations, TVs and movement from adjoining rooms. Despite the double glazed windows outside noise from the car park comes straight into the room. The floor to ceiling window beside the door is only covered by vertical blinds so the room is bright from around 5am in summer and offers very little privacy. Full length blackout curtains would make a huge difference. If you want a quiet night’s sleep this isn’t the place. A delivery lorry arrived at 7.30am, building work next door started at 8am and housekeeping were making plenty of noise outside by 9am. Continental breakfast was very basic. Check in was confusing as reception was locked when I arrived around 5pm so I had to walk through the busy beer garden to discover check in was at the bar. The staff member was friendly but was trying to serve customers and check guests in at the same time. I also woke up with what appears to be an insect bite during my stay. Overall it’s cheap but I’d happily pay a little more to stay somewhere quieter.

We had a warm and friendly welcome. The room was spacious and had good storage and a good size bed. It was on the ground floor and we had worried there might be noise, but actually that was fine. Good sized shower room and good supply of tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits. We had an enjoyable stay

This hotel is perfect for the less mobile person. The rooms are in little bungalow type buildings with a free parking space right outside your door an en’suit bathroom rooms are big enough for wheelchair manouverability and kettle and tea and coffee& milk etc. The continental breakfast is included and the dining room is just yards away with ramp access. First class. Thank you for a friendly weekend. Will be back I’m sure

We have stayed at this accommodation several times now, as it is nearby to one of our daughters, when we visit! We thoroughly enjoy all aspects of The Lodge, apart from the shower! In my opinion, for elder people such as my wife and I, there are no supports to hold on to, and I am concerned that we might slip etc. Despite mentioning this, nothing seems to have changed! Perhaps this issue could be “flagged!” Other than that, I would thoroughly recommend The Lodge!

Excellent facilities as were food and staff. Outside DJ on Friday a bit unexpected and disturbance on Saturday night. However weekends will always attract some overindulgence. Overall, Littleover Lodge is an excellent choice

The staff were very kind and helpful, particularly the lovely lady at breakfast who went above and beyond to make sure my husband who is a coeliac had a safe, cooked breakfast. The cooked breakfast looked delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the continental breakfast which was included in the room price. A £7.50 extra charge was paid for the cooked breakfast which was great value. The room was basic and a little tired and in need of an upgrade but the bed was very comfortable. The water in the washbasin and shower was tepid so we had to have cold showers which wasn’t ideal. There was a gentleman in the room above us who was on the move all night and on the phone to someone, with some choice language thrown in. Obviously not the fault of the hotel staff but we got very little sleep. Then at 5.30 in the morning I was kept awake by staff arriving for their shift, slamming car doors and talking very loudly to each other with little consideration for the guests who were trying to sleep. A few issues to sort out and it could be a really place to stay.

The room was clean, good size with everything you need. Dog friendly rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant was excellent with good food, reasonably priced so we had breakfast, lunch and an evening meal there. Very popular but still really quiet at night. Definitely stay again. Being really picky, there was some superficial updates needed. The TV was basic and small. No plug sockets by the bed. Personally I did not like having my towels folded up and placed back in the bathroom. I may not want to share towels. Having said that the stay was great. We stayed in a dog friendly room so ideal. Hopefully will be able to return soon

We booked 2 rooms initially back in march to stay the night before download festival and the night after. Our friends had booked the same place and one had booked the week before . When we got there all our friends had their rooms booked , even our friend who booked the week before. When it came to us checking in our booking wasnt there, even though i had the confirmation email. We had driven from Plymouth and very tired .The young lady behind the bar , bless her tried to sort and couldnt even get a room in a sister property. With liasing with our friends we managed to shuffle around , but it.wasnt idea. I wouldnt have minded , but we booked 4 months prior!!! If we hadnt of had any other choice , i wouldnt of.returned , but we all had booked . The bed wasnt the best , pillows flat , but the shower was lovely. The staff behind the bar were lovely and we had a nice pizza .Its a shame as it is actually a nice place anesthetically. Also no plug.sockets beside the beds , which would be better. I hate complaining , but i feel it was a bit annoying that they had over booked and spoiled what could have been a nice experience
