This was a wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel and surrounds, the type of village you envision in a small greek community. The hotel had tradtional atmosphere, an beautiful porch area and was just off the square. My only grievance was how uncomfortable the mattresses were. I had a hard time getting comfortable and woke up sore from how hard the bed was.

5 star quality. Only downfall was our room was next to the front door and reception desk so it was a bit noisy with people coming and going in the evening; quiet other than that. Good location for walking to waterfront and local taverns.

Having stayed in my share of luxury and budget hotels around the world, I can say with integrity that this was (yet again) the "perfect" hotel experience. Stunning restored mansion with all the modern bells and whistles where you want them (bathrooms, mattresses, many outlets, high speed complimentary WiFi, great air conditioning). The staff are BEYOND welcoming -- they remembered my husband and me bringing our 1 year old son two years ago and set up a toddler bed for him before our arrival, unrequested, for example -- the complimentary breakfast fresh, local, varied, and well-presented. The location is ideal -- several fantastic restaurants (my husband is a French chef) within blocks, the lake one block away, etc. Parking is a non-issue. I wish we could replicate every aspect of the hotel in cities worldwide: it tops the Ritz, W, Omni, Westin, and more. Worth every penny.

Ein mit viel Einfühlungsvermögen und Sachverstand sanierter Altbau in der eher dörflich geprägten Stadtmitte - allein dafür würde ich schon volle Punktzahl geben. Das Hotelzimmer versprühte den angenehmen Flair einer alt-osmanischen Unterkunft. Freundliches Personal, gute Ausstattung, geräumige Zimmer, Frühstück passt. Für mich ein hidden champion!

Dit leuke originele hotel is centraal gelegen in de bezienswaardige oude kern van Kastoria. De auto kun je dicht bij het hotel openbaar zonder kosten parkeren. De kamers zijn nostalgisch ingericht met cocomat materialen. Het ontbijt is prima en het personeel uiterst vriendelijk.
