We stayed at Sofitel Athens Airport for the convenience, and while the room itself was clean, modern, and nicely appointed, the overall experience did not feel worthy of a true 5-star rating. The room was quite small with small windows, though to its credit, our first-floor room was quiet and we couldn’t hear any air traffic at all. What stood out most was the contrast between the high price and the actual quality of the property. The hallways felt narrow, the walls were scuffed and marked, and the carpeting and color palette gave parts of the hotel a dull, lifeless feel rather than a luxury one. We’ve stayed in several 3- and 4-star hotels in Greece that offered a far better overall experience. Ultimately, the hotel benefits from its airport exclusivity, which makes it the obvious choice if you do not want a 15–20 minute cab ride. But at roughly $700 CAD for what felt like a $250 room, it came across as seriously overpriced and a bit gouging for the convenience it offers.

This was my 2nd stay at the Sofitel in Athens this year. It is a little expensive but it is a very nice hotel and just a walk across the street from the Athens airport. It's extremely convenient to check in after a visit to Greece and get some rest and excellent meals before the long flight home. The staff are usually extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic. If it is within your budget and schedule, I recommend it for your final night in Greece.

Great hotel just steps from the airport! It was the perfect place to rest after a long international flight. The next morning, I was able to walk directly to the terminal for my early domestic flight—no shuttles or waiting required. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the restaurant staff was especially attentive. The room was comfortable and made for a relaxing stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and professional staff. The lobby and rooms were very clean. The lounge outside was also very clean and staff were accommodating.

Our flight was canceled after an incredible two weeks exploring Athens and several Greek islands. Since we didn’t want to head back into the city for our final night, we found this hotel conveniently located directly across the street from the airport. The excellent reviews caught our attention, and they were absolutely deserved. It was the perfect way to spend our last evening in Greece. The food and drinks were outstanding, and our room was immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. We couldn’t have asked for a better ending to our trip. I would highly recommend staying here!

Very clean and efficient everything we needed and more especially with flight cancellations

Stayed here as it offered convenience for our morning flight. The hotel rooms are soundproofed so we did not hear the airline traffic. Pool, sauna and gym were all included. However for the price we paid for the room, the breakfast buffet should be included. Overall if you want the convenience of being right next to the terminal this location can’t be beat.

Worth Every Penny! We had an early flight out of Athens the next day, so we decided to splurge. We ordered room service and slept like a baby our last night in Greece thank to this hotel. 5 Stars!
