Great size room for 4 people. Beds very comfy. Great night sleep Only issue for us was the distance to central. It was almost 30 minutes away. So if you want to go there just be mindful. The hotel is great though. Very close to a shopping centre for convenience

We were really late getting to the hotel as our flight was delayed had trouble with our car. That was no trouble and the man at reception was very pleasant. Room was lovely and modern and clean with hairdryer, iron and board, safe etc. Got up early to get breakfast which was lovely only to discover our car wouldn’t start again when we were leaving. A gentlemen named Josh at reception was so helpful. He did everything for us to try find someone with jump leads to help us out. When he did eventually get jump leads, he came down to the car park himself and got our car going. He was just so polite and helpful and couldn’t have been any nicer. He was made to work with people. Such a lovely experience to get from something that could have been so bad for us. Thank you Josh! We are forever grateful.

We had a lovely stay at the clayton hotel my only bad things i would say is that the room was so hot there was a fan but it made no difference as soon as we walked into the room the heat hit you obviously this is because of the warm weather we have had and that the rooms we were in were directly hit by the sun all day it was so hard to sleep even my wee one didnt sleep and I couldn't open the window as it was a ground floor room and was afraid of leaving the window open all night also the room stank of fake tan when I lifted the toilet seat the whole toilet was covered in fake tan so im not sure if the toilet was cleaned before us I ended up just cleaning the tan off myself with antibacterial wipes id with me as we were only there for one night and away really early the next morning I definitely would of complained if we had of been staying longer the breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice on offer bed was comfortable we didnt even pull the sheets as the room was so hot we just tryed to sleep on top but as I said we didnt get much sleep all in all id definitely book again as it wasnt massive problems we encountered

The hotel room itself was well appointed with great water pressure and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room lacks air conditioning and a window that opens not far enough. The room had a fan but it wasn't a good one. The temperature inside the room was always hotter than the outside air. It made it uncomfortable to sleep in the room. The location is within easy walking distance of a shopping centre. We chose to buy the breakfast at the hotel the first morning and it was pretty good. A full Irish breakfast could be obtained from the buffet. The Nutella dispenser was kind of cool. It was a bit of a drive to downtown. If you're coming from a place where you drive on the left, it's a pretty easy drive. A bit more challenging, if you're not.

Stayed before in winter. Booked again in summer never relized the rooms dont have air con. Temp hit over 30 degrees in the room, windows open 2 inches. Unbearable heat and sweats had to leave and drive home, hotel were happy enough to grant refund. Something that definitely think about in the hotter months, we just expected air con this day and age, its a must these rooms are like oven especially the higher the floors.

Would not recommend. Stayed with my family in a deluxe family room, but it had no temperature control (no heating, aircon, nothing) and it was like a sauna. It was also incredibly noisy during the night due to other guests slamming doors and running around in the hallway. We were looking forward to using the pool but didn’t realize it is mandatory to wear a swimming cap which have to be purchased for €3 each so we didn’t bother.

*I wrote two reviews because we had a split stay in the same room: 1 night and 3 nights The property sits next to a shopping center and a bus stop, convenient for traveling around Dublin and getting food, medicine, toiletries. The staff are both friendly and helpful—5 stars for them! The property itself needs work; for one, they need new windows. The ones they have push out at the bottom about 4 inches, which isn't helpful for air circulation. We were there during the heatwave and it was brutal. Hot air sat, stagnant and heavy, in our room the entire 4 nights we were there. The hotel supplied a small fan, but it wasn't able to pull in cooler air from outside due to the air flow constriction. We barely slept those 4 nights and my daughter got a terrible heat rash on her feet, hands, and legs (it cleared up within 24 hours when we stayed with our friends down in SW Ireland). I think with some adjustments to their windows and more investment in window fans, Clayton will improve their ratings considerably.

The Beds were really Comfortable, The staff had trouble communicating with each other, we asked them 3 times for an extra cup, extra towels and extra teabags coffee and milk, as there were 3 of us sharing a room, They had only catered for two. The carpets were old and very stained, and the TV didn't work. On the 2nd day there, they had canceled our entry cards so we couldn't get back into our room. Very Disappointed. The rooms were not noise proof, so it was very noisy.

Good stop gap if doing activities in dublin, concerts, croker, airport etc. Breakfast is fab, beds very comfy and good amenities in our family room. The fan supplied was a godsend on humid nights. Pool was a hit with the kids. Liffey valley shopping centre a 5 minute walk! Hotel could do with some outdoor benches or a little garden for kids to chill. I would only stay here again as an overnighter rather than a family weekend but good value overall.

Poor check in, misleading information on an upgrade which would have put us in with permanent asylum seekers. Breakfast was a problem with children questions despite a deluxe family booking at a high nightly rate. Poor customer service overall.

Overall a good stay at the hotel, thank you to the hotel staff. Convenient location, near to Liffey Valley shopping centre, easy access to restaurants outside. Also good bus access to Dublin City. Swimming pool was a bit busy on Friday evening (we had kids so had to swim in the busy time). Good spread of breakfast. Would certainly stay there again!

The hotel is NOT air conditioned in the rooms and the window only opened at the bottom about two inches. The first day the room was not cleaned although the sign for "cleanng" was on the door. Poplar hotel given the constant checking in of guests. I prefer the Clayton by the airport over this hotel site.

Had to switch rooms as fridge was broken and room was so warm from heat coming from the back of the fridge. TV apps like Netflix would not work as hotel blocks them on there Wi-Fi so not good for kids in a family room. Tv in bedroom did not work at all and in living room screen had poor picture quality. Hotel not clean and rooms on poor order. Stains on mattress and carpets. Pool had no changing facilities for men and was very small. Rooms were not fully made up when we left and same sheets were reused. Bread had mold on it at breakfast. Only decent thing about the hotel was the staff were very nice and helpful but overall it was very poor. Stay clear.
