When we arrived there were no hallway lights to our room so we walked along a long dark hallway. The shower was not working initially until they sent someone up to fix it. The shower light was not working so we showered in the dark. We booked the prestige superior sea view room. In the photos online there is a balcony to sit and enjoy the ocean. Our room was directly above the restaurant (loud) and had only partial ocean view. There was no balcony to sit outside. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The food was just okay. We had to find someone in the morning for coffee. The hotel is outdated. I would not stay here again.

Terrible hotel, pictures reflect reality 20 years ago. The beach is nothing like the pictures either. The hotel is not pet-friendly either because you are allowed to bring your dog and lock it in the room, the dog is not allowed on the beach or pool or restaurant or even garden. I would not recommend to anyone.

Luna is a resort hotel built in the 1950s. While I am sure it was elegant back then, it has not been updated or renovated since and was frankly in a decrepit condition. The site is impressive and the beach excellent, but the hotel itself tired and a bit depressing. Old world service (most of the staff were in their 60s) and lacking modern amenities. We felt like we were living in another era/

There is no faulting the staff from housekeeping to management. Should a problem arise it is dealt with fairly & promptly & the English of the receptionist Rina(?) & manager is impeccable. The restaurant staff are very attentive. Surroundings are beautiful. Pool area is spotless & pool beautifully inviting just like the promotional photos & lifeguards on hand. No problem with getting parasols & sunbeds both pool & beach. Would have been nice to have had somewhere with snacks during the day as you are limited to using the restaurants on site during fixed hours if you have no car & the food is pricey but not as good as expected. Breakfast buffet is, however, plentiful & with lot of choice & best peaches & nectarines ever tasted !

We have been there for a wedding and slept over for a night only. Not easy to recognise once there so went straight down to the road ( as everyone else did ). The rooms were quite aged and definitely need a refresh, love the style but for the money we paid I would have expected more in terms of maintenance. The rooms were cleaned but around the residence there was not a bin or an ashtray so some glasses were left behind and stayed around for hours and hours with members of staff passing by them several times and ignoring them.

The location and natural environment around the hotel is truly wonderful and the hotel itself is well designed with a great pool, but, as other reviewers have said, it is in need of some significant maintenance and an upgrade. Menu choices were very limited and we never had the impression that the staff really cared about guests. It needs money spent on it to be a 4* hotel.

Beautiful location, outside the hotel the grounds, beach and pool are lovely. The staff also are professional and friendly. However, I booked this hotel for my husbands 60th birthday and we were only staying two nights after 3 nights in the north of the island I booked a double (prestige) room with a sea view at £221 a night so £487 for the two nights. The room (53) was not as I expected, very plain with basic requirements, the bed was flat/hard with an iron bed head which made a noise on movement, the room was next to the kitchen fan which was on balcony which came on at 7.30am and for the evening restaurant service, the balcony had mould on the walls which could have been cleaned off and repainted. The shower didn't drain properly. Overall the room was disappointing for us both and not value for money at all. The view was lovely over the roof of the restaurant. We ate dinner in the restaurant on the first night and the food was poor, the hotel was quiet after a wedding over the weekend and it was a Sunday but the food should be constant. Breakfast was Ok but not the quality products that you would expect from a hotel like this and have received elsewhere. I have worked in management for many years so can be critical but I do expect value for money, this sadly was not the case, I did not complain as my husband wanted to enjoy his birthday (first night) and we were there for only two nights so it seemed pointless.

This wonderful resort was built in the 1950s on a stretch of private beach. The property has charming walkways and gardens. It is so peaceful and beautiful and the staff could not be nicer. The restaurant serves amazing food with a view of the sea. We have stayed at many hotels in many countries, and this one was perfect for us. We went during April, so not in the busy summer season, but even then they only allow less than 200 guests so it will not be crowded. You need to reserve early since they book up quickly. Stay outside the busy city of Cagliari which is less than an hour way. We give it our top recommendation and it is even better than our quick photos on a cloudy day could show!

If you want a quiet beach located hotel, this is an option. The hotel ticks a lot of boxes, however it does need a make over. Main issues include very hard, back aching beds. Breakfast items not replenished with every day cold scrambled eggs. The bread offer was awful. What a shame, since this hotel has great potential to be restored to glory.

I will start with the stronger points: 1. The hotel is located on a large land plot, the main building is in the middle of a pine tree grove. 2. Hotel grounds are landscaped and well-maintained, bougainvillea climbing over the walls make it pretty. 3. Helpful staff. Things that didn’t quite work for us: 1. Rooms are rather basic, bathroom definitely needs a refurbishment. 2. Sea shore full of flotsam, the beach had mounds of rotting seaweed (how much does it cost to hire a couple of guys in a boat to go along the shoreline and collect the weeds every morning?) 3. During our stay they were filming an Italian reality TV show at the hotel. This meant that hotel periodically restricted access to certain areas for other guests (one overzealous security guard nearly jumped us when we were taking a stroll after dinner demanding that we turn back). TV crew occupied most of the communal areas in the hotel generally making a nuisance of themselves. Overall, that made me feel like a second rate guest.
