Good location. They held some kind of takoyaki party for free when I was there. Privacy was ok, but the room was definitely a nightmare for light sleepers (luckily I’m not one of them) cuz they separate the beds with wood plank and metal and it creaked when you move. Even just a little bit. Seriously. I also think the way they put the kitchen and common room on the 4th floor is not very convenient.

+ close to Keintetsu Nara + walking distance to tourist locations only 1 kilometer + friendly service-away from JR Nara station -small room -check out only until 10 o'clock - breakfast on hard bread.

We really enjoyed staying at Oak Hostel Nara (we rented 1 double room and 1 Family room). The staff speak fluent English and are very professional. Room size is quite spacious for a hostel in Japan. There is free 24 hour tea and coffee in the lobby. The location is very strategic near the tourist attractions and shopping centers and various restaurants. God willing, we will return to stay at Oak Hostel Nara when returning to Japan.
