Clean double room, washroom was on the bigger side since the sink is located outside, free sake in the lobby, good location, friendly staff. The only thing was the AC wasn’t working well so our room was kind of warm and stuffy

Imu is 15 minutes walk to the city. The tiny room is clean. No kettle in the room but has a free available coffee machine, hot and cold water in ground floor. Bring your own thermos flask if you are a cuppa lover. Close to combinis and grocery store. The hotel offers food that I found pricey! The nearby grocery store has great varieties of bento, ready to eat food and by 7pm discounted food starts. The grocery offers microwave to warm food. I did not find microwave available within reach in the hotel, did not bother to ask anyway. Has no washing machine in site but 5 minutes walk to the laundry self service. The iron is rechargeable, I found it non-functional. 5 minutes walk to stations. 20 minutes by bus to Gion, Nishiki market is 20 minutes walk or 4 stops by bus then 5 minutes walk to the hotel. 5 minutes walk to the train station that will take you to Osaka. The staff is very polite. They respond to email day after. I asked to receive my package from Jins that i ordered from my earlier trip in Tokyo. I regret to not sending our luggage from Tokyo to Kyoto using the available service in Japan due to trust issues, what should we do if luggages will not receive on time😂? I will try on my next trip to make my trip comfortable. Tokyo station is chaotic and packed! It was very uncomfortable with the luggages We regret not booking luggage locker online, we are not aware of this service. We thought there will be available locker at all times.

We stayed one night at this property. It is quite a walk to a station, but the area around the property has many shops and restaurants. It is only a 5-minute walking distance from the Pokémon Center. Check-in is at a kiosk, and staff can communicate in English pretty well. The property also provides essential toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, and razor. They helped us store our luggage after we checked out because our Shinkansen is scheduled at 20:00, allowing us to explore Kyoto hand-free. There's also a restaurant in the lobby, serving modern, vegan-friendly Westernized meals. They even offered free sake the day we stayed I want to give a shoutout to the very helpful staff who support us with our mishap with Yamato Transport. Their name are Uehira Ryoma and Matsumoto Haruka. I had my Osaka hotel send luggage to Imu, however, the luggage was arriving late. I had to leave at 20:00, but the luggage was still not delivered at 17:00. The staff helped me call Yamato and my hotel in Osaka to sort out the situation. They even offered to send my luggage to Tokyo if it got delivered after I left. Uehira-san even ran to a nearby Yamato location to figure out the situation. Luckily, the luggage finally arrived at 19:00. I am so thankful for their help.

Wow, what an amazing little hotel! We booked two rooms for our family of 4 to explore Kyoto. When we arrived we received a warm welcome and were able to leave our luggage locked in a secure location until check in time. We were offered free coffee, tea and water in the lobby. The rooms were sparkling clean. Yes, the rooms were small, but we believe that is typical in Japan. We are always more concerned about cleanliness anyway. And again, this place is spotless. We even had air purifiers in our rooms. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Lots of options (even western options). Subway was close (about a 6 min walk)for moving around Kyoto. The only somewhat downfall is that hotel isn’t as central as others in the area. However, the cleanliness of the room, great service and amazing breakfast made up for the location. We would definitely recommend the Imu Hotel in Kyoto.
