Lovely room

We had a large Japanese style room. The onsen was good. Breakfast at the nearby hotel on the way to the ski lifts was a bargain for 980 yen!! It is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest supermarket

Great property tucked away in Zao. Beautiful views and amenities make this a must-stay!

We loved: (1) the spotlessly clean and spacious room and communal areas (2) the view of trees and the sound of the river outside our room (3) relaxing in the hotel's indoor and outdoor hot spring pools (4) helpful staff. The only thing that could be improved would be teabags (お茶 or black tea), either for free in the room or to purchase from the front desk.

Affordable, clean, room are super spacious, very suitable for small family (mine is family of 3). Get to experience public bath and onsen. Strategically located - near to many eateries and walkable to main attractions like Zao Ropeway

Older building, but it’s clean and spacious for our family of three inside the Japanese style room. Comfortable is warm, pillows is ok. There is onsen inside the hotel. But there’s shower and sink and bathroom too, inside the Japanese style room where we stayed. Outdoor onsen was not available the time when we stayed because of the heavy snow. But there’s private onsen for rent hourly! Free bread and coffee for breakfast 0739-0830 (very short period of time) One receptionist speaks English well.

Cheap room, good open , and close to the last lift cabin. Far from the main city but can walk just few minute.

For visiting Zao Onsen, this is a good choice. The Japanese style rooms were very spacious — especially compared to other places I have stayed. It is an old hotel, and shows wear and tear. For example, the carpets are worn out in parts of the hallway, the sinks are old, the tatami mats are plastic. It seems like smoking is still allowed in rooms, but fortunately our room did not have any strong unpleasant smell like some hotels. The onsen is quite small and dim, but does have windows to look at the snow. No shower in our room (as is often the case) so expect you may have to use the showers at the onsen. We did half-board, so only ate breakfast. The breakfast was rather basic (standards Japanese style, rice, miso, tofu, eggs, bread, veggies, some local dishes) for the price but not bad. Still, I would recommend it if you are looking for simple and comfortable accommodations in the area. Nice views of the snowy trees. If you have multiple people, and particularly if you are planning to snowboard/ski or hike, it could be a very good deal and we enjoyed our stay. We did not have any gear with us, but there seems to be good options for storing gear as well. The walk from the bus terminal to the hotel is uphill, but not bad if you are in healthy shape and takes about 10 minutes. I would also say that we were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early. We arrived a couple hours earlier than expected and assumed we would have to wait, but it was no problem. Staff was friendly.

Everything about this establishment feels very amazing. From the private outdoor onsen (surcharge required), to the great staff service. The only downside is that most of the staff here speaks barely any English. If you do not speak or understand japanese, I would advice you to have some sort of translation app on your phone available so that you will be able to converse properly.

The service was nice.

Close to snow cable, hotel offers free shuttle bus to and from the bus station using check in/out, no breakfast and dinner is a drawback, but the hot spring is good too!

静かでシステムもわかりやすくよかったです

WEBチェックインが初めてでしたが、簡単にできてスムーズで便利だった。 温泉巡りがとても良かった(^^)雨の日の宿泊だったため、宿泊施設内に食事できるところがあれば嬉しかった。

チェックイン、アウトがスムーズで、快適に温泉が利用できる。

由巴士總站行上酒店約八分鐘，舊式酒店保養得宜，房間都清潔乾淨要有的都有，入住時接待老人家很落力介紹和講解唔錯，溫泉好舒服有外內二個但比較細，另一溫泉區有蒸氣浴但要同女方互換中晚，但留意晚上沒什麼食市有一間便利店所以最好用餐後入住

住宿服務人員很棒 確實提供協助！

The only problem is the Name plate of the hotel is not clear in heavy snow day…need some effort to walk to hotel during such bad weather
