Fletcher Hotel - Restaurant Duinzicht

Booked last minute. Have stayed here before. Given a suite because the hotel was busy. Good dinner and very good breakfast. Usual check-in person not available at time of check-in and couldn't find proof to we had paid in advance but usual check-in clerk was able to see my payment easily. We were only passing through so immediate area wasn't explored but this was a quiet area with little traffic. We were cycling and there was no covered, secure bike storage but there were fixed bike stands in the car park.

Amazing breakfasts, comfortable beds, convenient location.

Good sized rooms with very nice bathrooms. Restaurant downstairs was very nice with excellent service and a good selection. Property is well kept and clean. We locked to the bike rack with no issues, but there was a shed available if required. I would absolutely book again.

The hotel looks very nice and is 10 minutes drive from the lovely town of Oodorp. On arrival I and a couple waited for some time but nobody at reception. Eventually a young lady arrived but when checking in we were told that the restaurants were closed. It was -5C outside so I did not fancy a 30 min walk into town and I was looking forward to a glass of wine with my meal so I drove to an Aldi and bought tapas to eat and a bottle of wine. I decided to be sociable so at 1930 I went down to the bar which was a huge room but the bar consigned to a cluster of bottles in a corner. There was nobody else there but I finally did manage to get a small bottle of beer. Due to the weather outside, the vast emptiness of the room and the incredibly dim lighting, it reminded me of the Shining and I was waiting for Jack Nicholson to put an axe through the door and say 'Here's Johnny'. I returned to my equally dimly lit room and ate cold food in the gloom. By now the wall lights had failed so I was left with a small table lamp and the light from the bathroom. Breakfast was delivered from town and there were cold meats and cheeses but I would have liked a hearty hot breakfast before spending a day working in the freezing cold. I am sure that in good weather the hotel will be busy, vibrant and will have hot food and a proper bar but when I was there this did not apply. When is a hotel not a hotel? When it is a semi dark room and they forgot to put the radiator on in advance of my arrival.

We liked the hotel and the location. Bike hire was good. But hotel below expected standard in several areas. Many food items run out at breakfast and cutlery/bowls missing. Dinner limited and expensive but good quality. Broken shower and wardrobe in room. FIRE escape hazard with outward opening bathroom door and broken wardrobe doors blocking escape route from the small bedroom.

Great location but missing climate control and small fridge. For a 4 star hotel we would have expected this. It was a very warm night with 25 degrees in the room. Hardly any sleep a ventilator would already have helped. Great location. Also the reception staff suffered from theheat.

Location of hotel was good and the hotel itself is modern. Service at breakfast was inconsistent and poor due to understaffing.

The restaurant and bar are good and pleasant but the room I stayed in (in the annex) was cold (I slept with jumper on) and had to be reached via two steep stairs without lift. This is disappointing for such an upmarket hotel. Bicycles for hire, which is a plus.

Good location, close to the beach and with very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Great to be able to hire e-bikes to get around the area as well.

Beautiful quiet location; nice updated decor; lovely bathrooms; no air conditioner so the room was too warm at night.

Hotel itself is good, clean and quiet. Spacious bathroom. However, after 21:30 it is impossible to get ANYTHING to eat! No cold meal, no snacks for delayed guests... even if you come just 20-30 minutes later!

A very comfortable, smart hotel with large rooms and lovely bathrooms (with shower). The restaurant served very good food and the breakfast was excellent. I would have given it the highest score if there had been a wellness centre but otherwise this was a very successful stay while cycling in the Netherlands.

An expensive hotel - after a day of cycling we had to eat in the hotel which was OK in the bistro. (Ouddorp was a reasonable distance away) Comfortable room, good wifi, pleasant staff but not outstanding in comparison to hotels we have stayed at half the price.

hard to find late at night and sat nav couldnt find but very welcoming when i arrived, rooms were great, staff were amazing and a great place to stay.

We chose this hotel because it was near where we wanted to go on the South coast. The hotel was about 5 minutes away from the town centre, but it had a good restaurant. We enjoyed our stay and the meal in the restaurant. The only negatives were that there wasn't a lift and it was difficult getting our suitcases up the steep narrow staircase. Also, you could hear the noise from the other rooms, doors banging and people talking. We were on,y here for two nights so it wasn't a big problem. I would recommend this hotel.

Always very good and efficient service

Lovely room with a balcony. Huge bathroom with separate bath & shower. Very happy with my stay. Parking, WiFi, breakfast. All as advertised.

The hotel room we stayed in was spacious for dutch hotels. The view outside our balcony was into the parking lot. However, we had our own very private balcony at the top floor. We slept well it was so peaceful even though we heard the hotel was full. That was amazing.
