Great place to relax for a few days. Food was great considering we were in the desert and everyone was really friendly and helpful. Dune boarding was fun and the desert breeze came the heat to an acceptable level. Cooled down nicely in the evening and was great to sit with a beer under the stars.

Er spent one night at Lodge De Lompoul on the way from St Louise to Dakar. It is pretty straight forward to get there with local transport and you will be picked up in a 4wd at Lompoul Village. We booked at hotels.com and had a little but of hassle to get the booking sorted out when we arrived. The owner of the place also owns two other camps and when we arrived the manager of this camp had not got our booking and did not know hotels.com... He wasn't speaking English and we don't speak French. All in all a good place to spent a night and brake the trip between Dakar and St. Louis in two.
