Anka Lodge

The family running this place is nice and helpful. Someone came by daily to clean. There was a shopping center 5 minutes away for all needs. It was a great location to get to all attractions quickly via uber.

Well maintained, secure, good customer care. The owner is one fine gentleman, cares a lot about his customers. The price is right, can’t be beat for that quality.

Good location. No basics in minibar, but very helpful when I asked for a drink, arriving late night

Great place to start exploring South Africa...Safe parking, very spacy rooms, close to City and Sandton and Not to far from the Motoway and the Kind hosts were the cherry on top!

Everything was great however there was no a/c & the toilet had problems flushing which I brought it up to the owner’s attention. The studio was spacious & owner was very nice. Nice garden.

So it's a bit out of the way, being a good 25 minute walk from the Sandton Gauteng train station. Very nice once there, with great restaurants 10 minutes walk away at Melrose Arch. VERY private neighborhood gives feeling of safety. No breakfast unless you order ahead of time.

Excellent area for eating out , shopping , seeing Joberg. Hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Perfect spot for a visit, whether business or pleasure. A great location close to Sandton, easy access to the motorway and lots of parking space. A lovely garden and pool give superb views from the room, and with all he amenities in the room to make a meal and enjoy the space, this is a great place to stay. If cooking isn't your thing, ANKA Lodge is on the doorstep of some lovely restaurants at Melrose Arch, or takeaways just in Corlette Drive. Like I said - great location! Add to the above the fact that The staff and management are really friendly, makes this a super place to stay.

The appartment is very pleasant, large and confortable. The service was great and very warm & friendly. A place I'll return when needed to stay at Joburg.

Katherine and Karl were wonderful hosts. The hotel was wonderful.

I found this lodge to be quite comfortable, owned by a pleasant family, very clean and safe and accomodating. There is a shopping area close by and the neighborhood appears to be very safe. It is a family owned home and they make sure that the guests are happy.

Very homely

I spend two night in Sandton Anka Lodge first of all when I reserve the Hotel I received a confirmation from the Hotel to check if they can provide any support, and I asked them to Pick me up from the Sandton Gautrain station, and they did just for 80 Rand (=7$) The room was a Luxury rooms, cleaned and nice view in very quite area Katherine and Karl offer me to get a dinner with them in Montecasino accept this offer and get there a very delicious seafood meal. Next day They offered a nice trip for 2500 Rand and they give me a 25% discount so I just pay 2000 Rand (=173$) for full day trip in Lion Park and Lesedi cultural village this trip include the transportation and the tickets in the two park and also the open buffet in Lesedi at night, I get an actual experiences for South Africa in few days. in the last day they take me to a nice shops since i get there a very good souvenirs for good price. and at the end they drop me to a Sandton station to get a Gautrain to the airport Kathrine & Karl very friendly lodge owners
