Lovely farm with horses, alpacas, geese, dogs and an ostrich. Great food at the restaurant. Breakfast good. Only hassle in our room was that it was a little noisy when there was a family with kids next door. Pool was very welcome, as it gets very hot in Wellington during Summer and Autumn.

We booked their "budget room" but it had a noisy person next to it. Our request for a change was granted immediately and we were upgraded to a lovely cottage at no extra charge for the 2 days we had booked. Very personable owner and staff, breakfast on the terrace of the wine farm's beautiful 18th C manor house. Stunning mountain and vineyard setting just out of Wellington, which is a good base for visiting Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.

The pool was very small and covered, so didn't use. The breakfast average to good. The room was small but contained all amenities, the beds very good - good mattresses and bedding. Lovely dogs and nice outdoor seating areas

The manager was very nice, apart from that I wouldn't stay here again for the following: 1. We booked a "mountain view" family suite as advertised on Expedia, but the room had no mountain view and was not a family suite. I.e. false advertising. 2. We wanted to swim but the pool loungers were so dirty it put us off. Generally, the place is neglected and run down, not well maintained. It is certainly not 4 star (more false advertising. 3. The aircon in our room hardly worked and we felt uncomfortably hot during the night. 4. There are multiple parrot cages with very noisey parrots outside the rooms that prevented us sleeping early in the morning, despite using earplugs. This is crazy and shows a lack of concern for guests - parrot cages should be elsewhere on the large property.

Very beautiful place with very welcoming owners. This break at the end of the working day was very relaxing. For Europeans not used to loadshedding, bring mosquito repellent to protect yourself from their arrival when the fan stops! This will not stop me from coming back each time I will visit Paarl. I will then also be able to dine at the restaurant, which I have heard so much about.

Stayed only 1 night at this lovely farm at the foot of Bains Kloof, with wonderful views of the pristine mountains, heritage buildings and a fine dining restaurant which serves excellent evening meals. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable and breakfast was served on a terrace overlooking the farmland which included lamas, guinea fowl, ostrich and pet dogs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money and will definitely return.

We had a very nice stay. It was conveniently located opposite the road to where the wedding we were attending was (De Kleinevalleij). From the moment we were greeted to the moment we left, we were treated very well and felt at home. The room was comfortable, the manor house is old and therefore beautiful. The farm is well kept and so tranquil. This is a beautiful place to stay. For the record, I am not in to staying on farms, but for those who are similar in that sense, you have nothing to worry about here. The place is safe, everything works (you have running water, no creaky floors, no spiders, there is heating in the rooms) and it isn't far from town. I can recommend this place!
