Chance Hotel Taichung

Clean room. Good location: very close to Taichung train station, bus stop, lots of restaurants nearby… There’s a laundry inside the hotel. Room TV has English translated option or watching Utub Staff is helpful. One bad thing: my room does not have enough power charge plug (only 2 ports for a room of 3 person). This is not enough.

Decent location. No safety deposit box in the room and a noisy air conditioner.

Great location close to an MRT. The room was clean and the staffs were very friendly and helpful.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk from the Taichung Railway Station. The stay was satisfactory and I definitely will be back.

It is not a bad accomadation if you are on budget or a quick business travel.

A packed hotel with old towels

The Pros: Check in was quick and easy. The WiFi was fast. They offer cold or hot water on the first floor. They also have a laundry machine in the same room as the cold/hot water. The Cons: The rooms are tight. I felt the air conditioning could be a little colder. I really don’t like the idea of throwing toilet paper in the waste basket. So be prepared.

It’s a very nice hotel. The room is very clean and it’s right by the train station.

Near Taichung TRA and transport to Sun Moon Lake etc. Only thing is room not exactly sound proof. We hear other guests talking and moving arnd fm 6 am. At times rowdy in the evening. DIY laundry is useful.

Close to Taichung station, easy to walk around

I only had an overnight stay in preparation to going on my tour of the Alishan forest. It was conveniently located with many places to shop and eat. The room was minimal but so was the price and for one night stay, I didn’t need much.

Aircon is noisy when adjusted to a warmer temperature.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I had an issue with smelling cigarette smoke in my room, and when I talked to the front desk, the staff immediately got up and went upstairs, saying she’d check where it was coming from and that she would turn on the air purifier so I would have no issues when I returned. That gave me a lot of peace of mind. Rooms were clean and you can select which toiletries you need downstairs, which is eco-friendly. The bathroom and shower are a good size. The mini-fridge inside the room was clean. Plenty of outlets in ideal places (next to bed, near desk, next to fridge). Good location very close to the train station. Multiple elevators meant you never had to wait long for one. Check-in was easy and seamless. Checking out was less straightforward since I am not familiar with checkout procedures in Taiwan and the machine to drop off the key did not have English on it (but has English mode after you click into the interface). Once I knew where to go, it was fine.

Convenient to transport for most tourist attractions. Close to HSR. Good value for stay.

Large room and nice breakfast!

Conveniently located near the train station and buses. Very minimal facilities, only two usable electrical outlets in the room, none in the bathroom. In the room there were only 3 hangers on a hook, no closet, no safe, one chair for 3 people, a very small desk. Pillow and bed were comfortable. Have to remember to put the “ make up the room” sign, otherwise room is not made up.

This hotel location is super convenient: close to the train station, bus routes to everywhere, 7eleven, shopping mall, restaurants... This property has a good & healthy breakfast program for only $4 / day, nice & clean, good shower & airconditioning.

Everything was good

Location is ard 10min walk to TRA railway station so it's good if u r taking e non HSR train. E food options r slightly more limited with focus on south east asian food rather than local taiwanese food. E nreakfsst option is a must cos u can try local breakfast n it provide u more food option. E room can be quite small if u have 3 adults with 3 luggages.
