The unfortunate events in Tunisia last year have taken a HUGE toll on tourism. MANY hotels have closed and the ones remaining are running well below their guest capacities. This was very much in our favor. We received an incredible price on the El Mouradi Skanes that we thought would be loaded with extra charges an unpleasant surprises upon our arrival. HOWEVER, we were never charged anything over what we paid on Travelocity. Granted, your are not staying at the Ritz Carlton, but for the price, you receive an AMAZING value. It is a four star hotel and comes across as such. Although the hotel has over 500 rooms, during our stay they were probably using less than 100 of them. But, the hotel still offered all of their advertised services including, pools, spa, activities, and entertainment. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We felt they made it their priority to make sure all of our needs were being met. One morning in the buffet restaurant, the waiters were fighting over who would get to serve us. The staff is multilingual and very well trained in hospitality. Thank you for an amazing stay!! We are looking forward to returning sometime in the future.

This hotel is more 3* than 4*. It has seen better days and could be very good again with some renovations and upkeep. Mold along tiles, cracking paint and the like. Bed wasn't very comfortable. Staff are super friendly which is almost a shame because they can only do so much when working in an outdated facility. Dinner was fairly good. Breakfast left something to be desired. Game room in the evening was cool. For a short 1-2 night stay its ok and a good price but i wouldn't stay for a week.

hotel from the 1980s; very little maintenace. rude, gate keeps front desk are OK. Ridiculous 20bucks deposit for a TV set that isn't worth 20bucks itself (TV set from 1990) Buffet dinner with cheap everything: cheap cheese, cheap salami, cheap lemonade, cheap hot dogs; and macaroni and cheese overal experience is OK if yo don't expect much. if you are European, this would be a 2* hotel to you.

First they ask to pay 61 at the cashier then you find out on the receipt that it's 60,80. They simply keep the change. It's self tipping! I tipped the doorman the other time, now I wont. The other night I spent here, they gave me a coupon for half board where it mentionned hours of dinner and breakfast. Today: Oh ... no... that's only for full board. TV didn't work. Now, go and spend your evening without TV! And I'm talking about 1980 TV not plasma or LED but the 50 pounds TV set without remote. Not coming back

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff was very helpful, the only downside was the smoking, as soon as you entered the reception or main lobby areas, you were welcomed with a cloud of smoke!!
