The room barely had any furniture. I have photos. such a waste of space. I could not even have guests come over with only one chair and one sofa. For $400 a night I would expect a much more upgraded room. We had to call for sheets on the sofa bed, even after we had room service. The hotel staff took the sheets and did not andonethdidngive us new ones.

The staff were very friendly but the restaurant was closed on Sundays which we were not made aware of before. The facilities are clean and comfortable though a bit dated. Really nice indoor heated pool and kids play area. Mosquito coverings on window not well sealed and the mosquitos were vicious…even in the spring.

Outside property is nice but hotel needs serious renovations . Totally outdated . Could’t get our room before 4.30 pm and manager was not very concerned…. Very disappointed despite this hotel could have a great potential if renovated and a better management.

Pasamos bien porque Punta del Este no defrauda nunca, cualquiera sea la estación. He estado muchas veces en el Hotel Barradas que está muy bien ubicado para el disfrute sin el bullicio del centro o La Barra y con piscinas y jardines muy hermosos. No había vuelto desde antes de la pandemia, aunque estuve en otros similares en estos últimos años y lo encontré muy venido a menos. Goteras que chorrean agua pors pared y están "respuestas" con una toalla en el piso, empapelados despegados o rotos, nulo mantenimiento. Una pena, porque el edificio supo capturar cierto encanto en los 90. Lamentablemente el personal sigue empeorando. No es mi profesional ni capacitado . Mucho menos amable. Tuve que pedir varias veces por un rollo de papel higiénico y estando casi vacíos solo me dieron 2 horas de "late" check out. Desayuno casi incomible. La piscina chica exterior estaba SIN climatizar y los baños de sectores comunes sucios y sin papel x varios dias. Por ese precio hay muchas opciones mejores a pocos pasos. Lo dicho. Una desilusión.

Hotel is a bit dated and needs renovations. There were clear signs of decay and cleanliness could definitely improve (dirty tub, cobwebs in corridors). This however doesn't take from the overall experience and most staff is friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is almost as good as it gets, just not as top notch as it was 7 years ago when I last stayed here.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to cancel our trip because of flight restrictions and mandatory quarantining rules in Uruguay. All hotels and flights for our 2-week trip were refunded except for this hotel. It is now more than 4 months later and we have not been able to get a refund for conditions that were out of our control. The hotel has been unresponsive and Expedia has done nothing to help the situation, choosing to distance themselves from the case by standing behind their policy that it is the hotels responsibility to issue the credit and they have made attempts to contact the hotel but they've been unresponsive. Expedia should step-up and do what's right for a loyal customer.

Close to beach, but be careful of traffic . Nice pool area and good breakfast . Outdated carpet in most of rooms and u have to flush the toilet to get hot water in the shower !!!
