Il Belvedere Hotel

Really comfortable and great for a family plan!

High end American cowboy dude ranch without the horses, but with excellent ocean views.

Our arrival at this hotel posed its only problem...the sign pointing to the entrance isn't visible until you've pulled into the wrong driveway. That may be a good thing, however, as it keeps this idyllic bungalow-style hotel far from prying eyes. Located on a growing stretch of coastal road 5 minutes from downtown Punta del Este the Belvedere wows you with beautiful green lawns and crystal blue pools. A path across the road leads to the beach. I have never been in a cleaner hotel, and the staff is always working to maintain the place without feeling like they are in your way. The lovely breakfast buffet is always fresh and good on goes on for hours, with fresh eggs prepared at your request. Rooms are large and comfortable, our two-room suite was quite nice with a kitchenette (no stove) for those in need of that.

Great room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A little ways out of Punta so probably not a great choice if you don't have a car.

This is a place I will never forget the scenery was jaw dropping and the whole place was spotless. I was so sad to leave the staff were extremely helpful my only issue I have is nobody spoke good English I wish I had learned to speak good Spanish.

Very nice spread out resort away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. We stayed in one of the bungalows, on the upper floor. This had a separate living room and kitchen. The rooms are beautifully constructed with brick and wood, exposed wooden rafters and ceiling fans in bedroom and living room. The condition of the room was impeccable. Bathroom was very nice, big shower (no tub), a little lacking on horizontal space around the sink. Nice touch, vent window you could open to keep from steaming up the bathroom too much. Kitchen had lots of room and a decent medium-sized fridge. Bed was very comfy. You wouldn't think much sound would penetrate a brick wall but a really angry baby in the other half of the bungalow kept us on edge under it gave up and went to sleep. Breakfast in the clubhouse's upstairs dining hall was very nice; plenty of items and of a high quality. There was also a complementary afternoon tea which was a nice unexpected touch (don't know if this is a year-round thing). We visited in late October and it was somewhat cool and overcast so we can't comment on beach access, the pool, the bar, etc. The staff members we dealt with spoke pretty good English, and were helpful with questions and recommendations.

Perfect family hotel with great location across the street from a beautiful beach. Large grounds with two nice pools. The room was great. Will definitely go there again with the family. The folks at the front desk were very helpful and spoke English well.

Hotel exceeded expectations; the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was nice. The staff on the beach were great and provided us with an umbrella. We were allowed to use the facilities after checkout which was super nice too. Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.

The Il Belvedere offers a unique vacation / getaway experience. Their bungalow style living quarters (i.e. your own kitchen, dining area, porch, and bbq) offers considerably more space and a relaxing stay. This combined with the well groomed green space, large pool, amazing breakfast (& and 5pm tea time), and proximity to the beach makes it the best place to stay. My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay and know you will too.

Pela terceira vez me hospedo no hotel Il Belvedere e pela terceira vez tive dias maravilhosos. Hotel espetacular. Não vejo a hora de retornar.

O Hotel é maravilhoso, os quartos são espaçosos, limpos, confortáveis, adoramos. O jardim é extremamente bem cuidado, assim como a piscina. Na verdade o quarto mais simples tem uma sala, uma pequena cozinha e um banheiro excelente, além da varanda. Excelente custo benefício e o restaurante do hotel achamos um dos melhores de Punta del Este.
