Fantastic place! The grounds are amazing! We stayed for 2 nights our wedding anniversary in the Gingerbread House. Wonderful! Very spacious and lovely bed! Power shower too! The food here is also amazing as are the staff. Can't do enough for you. Will definitely go again and can't recommend enough!

This was our first visit. The location is ideal, and the main building and gardens are beautiful. Staff are welcoming when you arrive, particularly the concierge who couldn't do enough to make sure everything was right with our accommodation. We stayed in the Garden Cottage which was quaint and roomy with a comfortable bed. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the service from Daniela, the Restaurant Manager, and her team was impeccable - very attentive but not intrusive. The one thing that would improve the dining experience would be soft background music at dinner, so that diners don't feel We really enjoyed the spa facilities, particularly the large swimming pool which is big enough to swim laps.

One night only, clean cottage, very quiet & spacious

Sunday breakfast left a lot to be desired, to wait 20 minutes for croissant/pastries to be provided was poor. Sunday paper which we had ordered was never delivered. Monday morning flowers on table mostly dead! Dinner menu on Sunday should not have been the same as on Saturday, therefore we did not eat in the restaurant on Sunday. Staff friendly and polite but not convinced that some of the dining room staff had english ability that was upto a level that might have been expected.

Stayed there with our dog in a cottage. Room and grounds great only problem dogs are not allowed in hotel so it’s effectively self catering

The hotel has a lovely setting but the rooms need some tlc. The restaurant was very expensive and thecresto and bar service was moderate. I wouldnt return!

Beautiful grounds and location with excellent amenities. The restaurant was excellent with a great wine list and very friendly service. Would highly recommend for a getaway with that special person!

Lovely old house and extensive lovely grounds

Friendly staff, cozy room, delicious food… what more do you need for vacation? The hotel locates close to all the major tour sites while hiding itself in a peaceful and private garden. This has become my only choice for hotel in north Wales.

For the cost of the hotel I expected better service. There was one waiter serving from the bar and we sat on the lawned terrace for 25 minutes and no one came to serve us so I had to ask reception to send someone. The spa is very old and desperately in need of a full refurbishment. The food was fairly good but considering the cost wasn’t worth it as I've eaten better three course meals for less in many other top restaurants. It’s a shame as the setting is lovely with the hotel buildings, gardens, and the Snowdonia hills in the distance. It could be so much better with some improvements here and there but I didn’t feel it was worth the high end cost for what was in my opinion a mediocre experience.

Such a shame, incredible grounds but massively let down by the service. As someone who travels extensively, most of which in premium establishments - this was one of the most disappointing stays I have had (Room, Afternoon Tea & Spa) - The greeting was inappropriate, only ever acknowledging me, never my fiancée (as if she wasn't there) - The room was very very tired. I totally understand the constraints with the National Trust / listed building. However the room was very tired, extension cables around, alarm clock from the 70s. The cherry on top was at very high cost for a double bed - this ended up being two mattresses pushed together, absolutely no excuse for this - We ordered afternoon tea, after sitting there for 20+ minutes I had to go to hotel reception to seek someone out to take our tea order. This was very surprising considering there was total 6 customers total there at the time. After this it was simply "which tea?" - service was very poor for this. - We eat there for dinner. I ordered lamb and was asked how I want it cooked, I then said rare please - pink. However, I was given some of the most overcooked lamb I have ever eaten (see pic) it was then begrudgingly changed. Restaurant manager was very rude with this. - For breakfast we were sat next to multiple dead flies. Rather than apologies from the restaurant manager we were told "this is simply nature". I would expect this at Wetherspoons, not for £30pp - They charged us twice (rectified after complaint)

Wonderful. Beautiful gardens, gorgeous country house, friendly staff. We stayed in cottages in the grounds…the best of both worlds. Hotel with all the amenities and the privacy of a cottage.

excellent country house. Staff where great and everything was very well thought out. Grounds are amazing. Lovely little cottage. Will return in the summer.

Took myself to Bodysgallen for a couple of days, lovely hotel and beautiful grounds. The Spa was well worth the visit.

The hotel was lovely, very country house look & feel. The cottage we stayed in had open oak beams as had originally been a barn. The room was spacious but the decor was abit tired & could benefit from a re-furb eg new wallpaper. The bathroom & kitchenette were also abit dated, but everything was very clean & well equiped with good quality towels, bath robes etc

Unbelievable find and the best meal we had all week

Amazing building with fantastic gardens, only a short drive from Llandudno, Conwy and Snowdonia, so an excellent comfortable base for exploring the area. Good food in the restaurant too. Also has a very pleasant pool and a small but not busy gym.

The hotel has character and the most beautiful gardens. The staff and service are excellent and the restaurant serves delicious food. Gorgeous, quirky accommodation but it could just do with a bit more of a thorough clean to try and avoid extra guests (spiders). Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel.
