Had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Dragon Inn, the location was great and the room was comfortable and clean. Special shout out to the staff, especially Connor, who went above and beyond to help with a booking issue

Amazing breakfast and great staff in a beautiful small town. Great overall value but having stayed more than once I’d recommend the room upgrade. Other pubs walkable from the Dragon if you choose including one that shows sports just up the road. Food, drink and the setting at the Dragon are wonderfully welcoming and comfortable on a cold night and of course, there’s a beer garden for the summer.

Parking in the hotel car park required skill to get in and out of a narrow and tricky access but I’m sure other parking in the town was available.

Stayed for one night, had food in the restaurant which was lovely and the staff made me feel very welcome, which was reassuring especially as I was travelling on my own. Room was clean & tidy, got a good night sleep. Room had a kettle, hairdryer and iron, even a couple of complimentary biscuits which is always a nice touch. Would definitely stay again and use it as a base for exploring.

Really nice room. Cosy bar and restaurant. The Four out of five for the staff because they sat around us chatting whilst we were having breakfast. It felt a little like we were in the way of their conversation. Dined here on two evenings and one breakfast. Very good meals apart from a massively overpriced “cauliflower steak” - ordered out of curiosity but I should have asked first. It was just a roasted head of cauliflower… and not that big a one, either, but the price didn’t reflect this! Very noisy at closing time and in the street outside.

On arrival their seemed to be some confusion over breakfast, although we had paid for B&B, apparently that only included cold and whilst we could pay extra for hot food that would mean bringing in a chef just for us as we were the only guests.......this didn't feel very welcoming. We were shown to our room which was freezing cold and when we asked when the heating would come on we were told she couldn't say as she wasn't part of the housekeeping team ! At dinner we had to argue the toss over our pre booked Xmas dinner which when it came was very average indeed. Cracked bath panel in room looked shoddy too. wasn't part of the housekeeping team.wasn't part of s

Positives, clean room, great food in the restaurant/bar, friendly staff. Semi negative, room only as wide as the bed plus bedside drawer, so quite small. Room was right outside the lit pub sign, which stays on all night, so very light bedroom even with blinds down. Car park entrance is literally as wide as the car, so be super careful, you can see marks all over the wall where people have hit it.
