Pros: The resort offers a beautiful ocean view and a warm swimming pool, which is enjoyable, especially in the evenings. The location is convenient—just off the main road with easy access to transportation and nearby areas. Breakfast was good and fairly satisfying. Cons: The rooms were not clean, and clean towels were not consistently provided. Requests were not handled well, and the staff was not very accommodating, which became frustrating over the course of the stay. Overall: If you’re looking for convenience, luxury, and a truly relaxing vacation, I would recommend choosing another hotel. The stay felt like more hassle than comfort, and it did not feel like a vacation for us.

I really wish I could give it a zero star. Where should I start? 1) wedding loud music until 12:40am. Felt the constant base in the room while trying to relax. Kept awake until 3:30am coping with the nervous energy. We did get d get a 24 hour notice on the door but nothing else. 2) everything that can be broken was broken. Patio door and paint coming off the frame. Door key reader no battery. Zero wifi in the room. Talked to neighbors and all had the same issue. Safe with no lock. Lol. You can't make it up. 3) badly needs a renovation. See shower picture. 4) When talked to the front desk guy, he said please leave a review, which is what I am doing. The two groups in front me also said they were going to leave bad reviews and he proactively offered them a QR code card. Yep, you read the correctly.

Room was old and not well maintained. Curtains did not cover windows. Balcony doors did not lock. Bugs were found in the bed. Beyond disappointing.

Overall it was okay. Definitely not worth the money as the area where this place is located there’s nothing around you. One bar one restaurant attached to the place that has subpar food that’s way overpriced. The rooms and everything are VERY old and outdated. Our ac machine barely worked and had water dripping from the vents. No privacy in the bathroom as they have the windows that stay open 24/7 you can’t shut them. So everyone can hear anything you do in there. Also the sheets and blankets were always stained with yellow or black marks. The curtains in our room were absolutely filthy and black all over them. Very overpriced for what you actually get. It also seems like it’s more of an old people’s home. They have a lot of 65+ and the activity’s they do are mainly for them and take up all of the pool. Very small “private beach”. WiFi never worked just overall for the price I paid I didn’t feel it met my standards no where near it. I hope this helps others look for something worth the money !

This place is magical. It’s very basic so if you’re looking for fancy, it’s not it. But - the views !! We saw dolphins, eagle spotted manta Rey’s, devil manta rays jumping in the ocean. We saw all kinds of fish including angel fish just snorkeling right on that beach. The staff are amazing, the room is comfortable, the food is good. The view though - for the amount you pay, it’s a steal ! We will be back.

Great service, excellent food, close to PVR downtown

The property is clean, the staff is great and the beach is virtually private (a bit rocky and small).

Great quiet resort. Very clean and friendly service. Only negative is its far from everything but if you want to relax this is the place and if you want to go anywhere transportation is available but of course the cost adds up.

Overall, we had a great experience at Costa Sur. We had a lovely view of the ocean and enjoyed having a nice kitchen where we could make and eat meals. I do think the property is in need of some updates as many things needed to be fixed (doors, furniture, appliances) and the elevator didn't work the entire time we were there although we were on the 2nd floor so it didn't really bother us. You cannot walk into town from the property which was a little inconvenient, so you had to take the bus or Uber. I would've enjoyed talking a morning walk from the property but it wasn't possible. The pool was lovely and clean and offered a view of the ocean. I also enjoyed having a restaurant on-site so we didn't have to leave in the evening to eat if we were too tired. The front desk will also not exchange U.S. cash for Pesos so be prepared to use the ATM and pay the fees. The T.V. also worked great as we watched Netflix from time to time after it got dark. All in all it was a great experience but the property could benefit from a few upgrades; however, if they do that the prices would probably increase so it may not be worth it.

The staff was courteous, they accommodated a room change to have access to improved wifi, the pools were well maintained and there were activities available. Unfortunately, the elevator in our building was out of order for the last five days! As seniors with breathing concerns, this seriously impacted our ability to use amenities.
