Very good localization Helpful staff Breakfast a little bit expensive

It was nice and cool in the room. The staff, especially Guyton from reception, was extremely helpful. We had lunch and breakfast at the hotel and they were good.

Disaster. No hot water. Impossible to take showers. We had ti change room and even cleaning staff was rushing us out. Management is very rude. Basically no us for devices. Poor hotel poorly managed and needs updated. Even after changing room, the room still stink. A real disaster. Avoid at all costs.

This is my new favourite hotel: beautiful, classic, good breakfast, lovely staff and a roof top pool!

The hotel appears nice af first but is in a state of disrepair and staff is very rude. We had a room with no hot water and barely functioning g shower. We paid a significant amount of money not to be able yo shower and had to change room while being treated very poorly by the rude staff anda strange maid, asking us repeatedly to vacate so she could clean an unusable room. We mined ourselves to a differed room. Staff never apologized, never offered any compensation. Dishonesty, catastrophic failure in terms of service and very unpleasant stay. Almost no plugs to charge anything. Poorly managed property.

Perfect combination of history and amenities with wonderful staff!

Charming hotel, with a lot of soul, ideally located within the city centre of Avignon

This is a really special hotel suffering from under-investment. The staff I met—from the front desk, to housekeeping, and the bar/restaurant—were all working hard. But there were never enough of them to make the place run smoothly. The beautiful property (ok, except the “modern wing,” where rooms are more akin to SROs) just isn’t being maintained lovingly. From a clogged shower drain, knicked up furniture, and broken glass louvered walls, to an inability to serve room service while hosting an event in the courtyard, lots of indications the place is under-staffed. The facilities crew obviously hadn’t done a routine check of basic systems in a while and the kitchen staff served exactly the same foods every breakfast. If the owners would just invest, this could absolutely be a 4 star property of the finest kind. As it is, expect kindness and a 2.5 star experience.

The staff here was quite good, but this simply isn’t a 4 star hotel. I have no idea how it has that accreditation. Our room was in the old section of the hotel. The wifi didn’t reach our room, the safe didn’t not work, the ceiling in the renovated bathroom was about 1.8m (about 6 feet) tall if you stood up in the shower, so I had to shower crouching over. The soap dispensers were also broken so we had to manually pump hand wash out. Also, the air conditioner is just built into the room. You can set a temperature or adjust the fan speed. It is underpowered to cool the size of the old rooms as well. Overall, just the property is in poor condition. The staff were great, but they can’t fix poor maintenance and a bad renovation job. I won’t be back.

Fue casi imposible dormir. Sonó una alarma del hotel dos veces, una hacia las 10:30-11 p.m., la otra hacia las 6:00 a.m. El gran ruido y el efecto producido luego de estos, me impidieron pasar una noche de suficiente descanso, para poder continuar con mi largo viaje en automóvil al día siguiente.

Great location, easy check in!

My room was quite comfortable and I slept well. However, there are no outlets near the bed and I prefer to plug my phone in nearby. The Lift in the back part of the hotel that serviced my room was tricky to figure out. Also the garden is lovely but the tables and chair could be kept more clean. The breakfast was not very good. The eggs were terrible, the bacon was soggy and unappetizing and the pancake machine was broken. I had the yogurt with mueslie but there weren't any fresh berries. For the type of hotel, the breakfast buffet which was valued at 18 euros needs a lot of improvement.

Friendly and helpful staff

The place is absolutely gorgeous, the courtyard will take your breath away. Huge rooms and loved the separate bathroom/toilet.

This was a cool place to stay with lots of history and a beautiful courtyard and restaurant. We only did room service and the food in that case was just average. But the location and aesthetics were very nice.

great location within avignon, fantastic staff -- rooms didnt impress (very weird light switch locations, take a while to figure out; no where to plug in electronics without unplugging lamps, strange room layout) ...

Nice spacious and quiet room overlooking a courtyard. Good bathroom. Pleasant dtaff. Expensive breakfast.
