I didn’t use internet or breakfast services. My room’s sink drained very slowly backing up. Jet tub was difficult to turn on or keep running, fridge froze all my food and possibly damaged very expensive medication, which I will not know until I try to use tomorrow. I told the staff when I checked out, with the response of “hmmm ok”, nothing more.

Negatives: Internet connection said good but you couldn't watch more then 1 minute of any show without it buffering and continuosuly disconnecting and needing reconnecting to the internet. My boyfriend had to use the hot spot on his phone so we could watch something. I was fine with the parking fee as it was clearly stated ahead of time. What I find decieving is they say a mini fridge is "available upon request". So after arriving and calling to request one, they then inform me its an additional $10/night. I would suggest the wording gets changed to "available upon request for an extra fee" so there is no confusion. But I do think its pretty cheap to not supply them in the rooms in this day and age. I stay at nice hotels and cheal motels across Ontario, and depending on my type of visits, even the smallest most basic rooms have still had fridges and microwaves in them. Hairdryer did not work. We were put in a corner room beside the housekeeping closet and in the morning the housekeepers stood outside talking and were generally loud and kept waking us up. It is a pet friendly motel. I was aware before booking it. But that should not mean that dogs can just sit in a room barking all night long. Positives: The heater in the room was exceptional. There was lots of hot water. I like the Dove shampoo and conditioner they supply in the big bottles. The jacuzzi tub got very hot, even though it fills very slowly, the jets worked well and it retained heat for over an hour.

My stay was enjoyable. Upon arrival I were advised that the room category I had booked was unavailable due to a plumbing issue in the room. We were offered an alternate and recently renovated room and complimentary parking to make up for the issue. Facility itself is a bid dated and shows its age on the outside but the room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was limited and entirely carbs. It would be nice to add a protein of some kind but as an included feature it was good. Overall value for dollar was very good and I would return.

Very disappointing stay. This is supposed to be a Howard Johnson by Wyndham, but it does not reflect the brand standard at all. The photos online are misleading and appear outdated. The room felt worn, and poorly maintained. Bedding looked off-white and aged, pillows were flat, towels had stains and felt rough. The bathroom toilet was unclean, had cracked tiles, some damaged baseboards, and very slow water flow from the sink tap. No bath soap was provided. There’s an Indian/Hakka restaurant attached to the hotel and the smell is very strong throughout the lobby. Our “non-smoking” room also smelled like smoke. If you’re sensitive to odors, this is not the place to book. Windows didn’t seem to have proper locking mechanisms, which raised safety concerns. We skipped the continental breakfast after reading recent reviews and went elsewhere instead. You truly get what you pay for. Read recent reviews carefully before booking — don’t rely on the website photos.
