The mattress in the room we were in had a humongous dip on one side. Other than that, the room was fine.

If you have a trailer or towing a boat the parking lot does not go around the building with little turn around room, so don't enter... park across street at Canadian Tire large lot.

No elevator for a two story building. Asked for 1st floor, they said all sold out. I asked if they could change our room to first floor, they said all were reserved. I mentioned I signed up a month ago, got here at 3:30 pm, hardly any body there, why can’t I switch? “All reserved,” again was the answer. Asked for assistance, guy said they didn’t do that. So 80 year old me and 77 year old wife unpacked half our suitcases, piece by piece took them up stairs to lighten the loads. Room was fine for a “Comfort Inn.” Remodeled and clean. Included breakfast? Another story. Worst selection of junk I have ever seen at a hotel breakfast. Nothing really edible, so we decided to go elsewhere after a cup of coffee. As we left, the server/clean up lady in charge announced she was not preparing anymore hot items because by the time they were cooked, she was closing. It was 9 am and she closed at 9:30 she said. I don’t know what happened to the LL baseball team that stayed there, but she was hoping they got there soon. I hope they went elsewhere. Decent place, horrible management. Oh, and premium prices ($300) due to fishing season.

Expensive for a one night stay for one person. A mid-week stay should be priced under $200 CAD.! It’s really just a place to sleep with a so-so breakfast.

Hello, I wanted to provide some feedback regarding our overnight stay at the Comfort Inn Kenora 1230 Hwy. 17 E. Overall, our family appreciated the hotel and the inclusive breakfast service. However, there was one interaction during breakfast today that left some members of our group feeling uncomfortable. During the breakfast buffet, the sausages had run out and another guest asked a staff member whether more would be coming out. The staff member explained that another batch was still cooking in the oven, which was understandable. However, she then added a comment of, “I was just gone a minute, it was full and now they’re all gone.” While this may not have been intended negatively, the tone came across as dismissive and somewhat inappropriate in a hospitality setting, particularly in front of guests. As an Asian family travelling in a larger group, some of us felt as though our party was being indirectly singled out or blamed for the food running out, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Additionally, given that this was during a long weekend with increased travel and tourism, we would have expected the breakfast area to be better prepared for higher guest volume. Situations where food items run out can happen, but having sufficient staffing and preparation in place would likely help staff manage demand without frustration being expressed in front of guests. I am not writing this to cause trouble for anyone.

For me it comes down to the price and it was too high at 249 a night, the breakfast was better the second morning but was absolutely terrible on the first. The lady at the desk was alright but most were seniors who didn’t seem to move to well, it was a glorified Motel and Don’t expect much for extras like vending machines or a water station that never was refilled.

I took my kids to a swim meet in Kenora On. The bathroom had dried urine on the bottom and all around the toilet. The bathtub was unclean and I while washing it pubic hair was coming off the shower curtain. I wiped the bathtub and the cloth was black. The vanity counter was dirty as well and the sink had dirt all near the top. Red and Black dirt was very disgusting. Everything was dusty! I had went down to the reception area and showed him pictures of the cloth from cleaning up . Manager said he would contact Expedia, as they should refund my money for the lack of cleaning. I would never recommend this motel again.
