I was disappointed with my stay. While the room rate was reasonable, I expected more from a Comfort Inn.
Check-in was excellent because the front desk associate was friendly, helpful, and efficient, making the arrival process quick and pleasant.
Unfortunately, the rest of the stay did not live up to that experience. The hotel is in serious need of updating and did not resemble the photos shown online. The pictures appear to represent the property from years ago rather than its current condition.
The room felt worn out, with dirty, stained carpets, a banged-up refrigerator, and a large gap under the door that made the room feel less secure and allowed noise from the hallway. The air conditioning system had a strong musty odor that smelled like a wet dog had been in the room.
The bed was also uncomfortable because the mattress was noticeably slanted.
One positive was the fitness room. Although it was small, it was very clean and included free weights along with a couple of exercise machines, which I appreciated.
Overall, the hotel did not meet the expectations set by its advertising or the Comfort Inn brand. Accurate, up-to-date photos and much-needed renovations would go a long way toward improving the guest experience. While the price was good, I expected a better-maintained property. The outstanding customer service at check-in was appreciated, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the condition of the hotel. I would not choose to stay again.
