Beautiful, charming old Inn with lots of character and beautiful grounds. We used the spa for a pedicure, which was lovely. The staff was very friendly and did a great job. We didn't eat dinner at the Inn, but the breakfast was wonderful. Full buffet breakfast with omelet station, waffle station, hot and cold food choices. Well worth a visit. Ideal location for weddings or a little weekend getaway.

The Inn is a lovely restored building set in beautiful grounds. The reception staff were very helpful, in particular when I realized that we had booked a queen size bed and were planning for a king. They graciously changed our room and didn’t charge us for the upgrade to a sunny west facing room. They also immediately provided us with a blanket and a pillow that suited us better. The restaurant food and service were also excellent and the buffet breakfast kept us going until dinner. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay !

While walking on the trail from the hotel it was unclear as to how one would come back to the hotel without walking on the highway. The grounds were beautiful and it was a joy to sit by the pond. Nice quiet getaway.

A girlfriend and I enjoyed a simply delightful one night stay in a peaceful and beautiful environment. We sat for hours on the veranda enjoying the Exquisite Gardens. Kudos to the landscapers. We chatted for absolute hours, enjoyed magnificent food and very comfortable accommodation. What a beautiful way to relax with a precious friend. We have both experienced brutal health challenges this past summer and our overnight here was a wonderful opportunity to chill and rest.

My husband and I had an overall relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly. The included breakfast buffet had a good selection of food including an omelette chef. (The bacon was a bit salty though.) The spa staff were knowledgeable and especially helpful with avoiding allergens like nuts and dairy. The Eminence products used in my facial smelled really nice! We booked a reservation at the hotel restaurant. There was a quite a long wait for our food at dinner. The waiter was nice though. Our room was comfortable except for two things: we found a large bug in the bathroom and the toilet was not flushing from the first night and was leaking from its base onto the floor. The in-room hot tub was great and the bed, bathrobe and slippers were cozy. The outdoor grounds were pretty but the walking trail was not well-maintained as there were branches constantly blocking the path which you had to physically move. The trail is about ten minutes and leads to a road. To get back to the hotel, you need to turn around and go back the way you came. There’s a McDonalds close by the hotel, but if you want to eat something else, you’ll have to drive to another nearby city like Woodstock. If you’re looking for a relaxing spa getaway in nature, you will probably enjoy Elm Hurst.

We had a comfortable stay at the Elmhurst. The dinner was absolutely fantastic and delicious; one of finest prepared salmon entrees I've ever experienced!!

It was the perfect getaway. Everything exceeded our expectations! The room was clean and spacious. They even had bathrobes and slippers in the closet - I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel that provided slippers. The SPA was peaceful and relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely EPIC. Maybe I just haven't stayed at many luxury properties, but their omelette was one of the best I've had. It was cooked fresh right in front of me by a very nice chef. Dinner was simply incredible as well. Every staff member we met was warm and welcoming. The entire property has a charming vintage style while being well maintained. The front yard is also beautiful and Instagrammable.

Beautiful property, great food

The inn itself is unique and lovely….its the whole different pricing for each night stay, that confused me. Upon checking out I was given a break down of my statement and noticed each night I was charged a different amount….when I questioned it, the receptionist states that it changes depending on occupancy! She then goes on to say they have always done that and that all hotels do it! I have never experienced that while staying at a hotel nor have I ever heard of such a thing, especially since when booked with Expedia, it clearly gives you the rate for the room per night and then the total amount for the entire trip…nowhere does it state a rate change depending on occupancy! Rather disappointed and overpriced seeing that it was close to $1,000 for just 2 nights!

Our stay was wonderful, very clean, comfortable and quiet room. Breakfast was great as well. Very pretty place to stay.

The receptionist was delightful, helpful and excellent . The breakfast team were excellent. The gentleman behind the bar was excellent and charming and arranged for a lovely lady to serve us in the quiet lounge after dinner hours for a glass of wine and cup of tea. Unfortunately the young lady in the Spa was not as delightful. We waited for at least 15 mins before she showed up and even though we appreciated that we were asking for a last minute manicure she was not pleasant, did not explain why she was unable to book a simple manicure apart from a 9:30/9:15 appointment next day. As a member of staff she had to have known that breakfast was only until 9:30. The spa was clearly not busy at 5:15 pm when we walked in to see if we could book an appointment - it was clearly empty and we would have loved and been happy if she had managed to fit us in before the spa closed later. This was a first for me with a less than warm, pleasant spa attitude.

Nice historic Inn

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although there was some construction happening at the front entrance the rest of the property was well maintained and clean. The restaurant staff were attentive and very friendly. The food was great too.

Elmhurst is on a beautiful property, ideal for weddings and events. We were just here for a girls weekend - the space, restaurant and on-site spa are all fantastic. An elegant and indulgent weekend!
