This hotel seems popular with a business and foreign clientele. It's has a bit of a dated feel architecturally harkening back to the fashion for atriums and neo-artdeco. The main requirements of quiet, clean, comfortable beds were met. For me it was a bit distant from city center, which is probably a draw for others. It's a reasonable walk to the Metro station which will get you to other neighborhoods quickly.

The location and staff are lovely. Delicious breakfast and several restaurants onsite including Algerian delicacies and a French steakhouse. Amazing pool not to be missed.

Loved my stay at the Sofitel Algiers. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. They were professional and took a personable. The room was very clean and the facilities were great. Breakfast was extensive. Would definitely come back again

Hotel is quite old and in need of renovation. Breakfast is reasonable but the dining room is quite small and becomes chaotic at peak times. Staff are generally helpful.

A bit far from the Casbah, but near Metro, so easy. Love my garden view room with sea beyond

Un bon sejour en général, toutefois un bèmol qui a assombri mon passage : interdiction totale de ramener la nourriture á l'hotel entre autres. De nos jours, les hotels fournissent á leur clients les adresses des restaurants qui font la livraison dans les chambres. C'est le petit plus qui fidelise les clients mais ici c'est une autre histoire...

I have had the worst experience I my two nights at Sofitel hotel, and to top that up the are still holding my money. I have called them several times to resolve this and all I got I pass you on to my colleague and they cut the line. I am ver disappointed at the over all service. If you are look to stay in a hotel don’t stay here my advice.

Good and nice location

The hotel was nice overall, however not luxury 5 star hotel. Very old and more like a 3.5 or 4 star experience. Although the staff were lovely, the hotel was very basic and like and Ibis but with a bigger room. Beds not that comfy, sheets not that amazing, etc. It was dusty, lift button didn’t work, and very much not worth the very high price. I would rather pay less and pay somewhere that’s actually 4 star. Part of the hotel advertising is you get access to Hamma for free. However they told us no at the time, and unsure till when (due to the new year) even though we asked on the 14th Jan. The most baffling thing was that you’re not allowed outside food into your room!

Beautiful property next to some wonderful point of interests. However, the drainage in the shower of my first room didn’t work and it flooded the bedroom. The water pressure in the second room was unsatisfactory, but I was too tired to complain about it. Nevertheless, the airport shuttle was extremely convenient and the gym/pool area was impressive.

The staff was very friendly and able to converse with me in English. The food was great too.

Tried to check in, the front desk manager, was very rude, it was very clear that he didn’t want us, I decided to leave and went to Marriott
