It took 45 min to check in to the lobby. There was snake-like line that wrapped around the lobby. To wait 1 hour at 5pm to check into a room felt ridiculous. The staff couldn't explain WHY there was such a wait and moved very slow

The property is outdated compared to other Fairmonts' Internationally . While a partial renovation was done to the lobby the rooms are in dire need of a renovation and look likes something out a movie from the 70s. For what you pay you can definitely find something better. My room was located on the second floor and the noise was constant through out the night.

Great location. Hotel is historic and shows its age at times. I prefer more intimate hotels - Royal York feels more like a convention centre, food is pricey and they no longer have the coffee shop for a quick bite.. staff were very helpful.

Construction on the lobby level made you take a detour to the path and added a lot of time to maneuvering through the hotel. Bathroom has no fan for ventilation. Obviously an old hotel it has a lot of wear and tear but some things could be better maintained such as caulking and faucets etc. bed was very comfortable. AC is hit or miss, one night it was nice and cool and the next it was hot and cold. Having to request an additional mini fridge in order to keep own drinks cool is extra work I don’t want to think about on vacation. Pool and hot tub are amazing

I have stayed a many Fairmont properties and this one does not live up to the standard or price. Everything is old and worn. The water pressure in the shower is poor and would stall…

Have stayed at Fairmont properties across Canada over the years. Willing to pay a premium price for a premium experience but this asnt it. 45 minute lineup to check-in, get our rooms 40 minutes past promised check-in time, twice asked for Iron from guest services which never arrived and $8 take to your room drip coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful but overall a poor experience. Not the Royal York I have stayed at in the past.

Very clean and convenient to all amenities

Everything was excellent other than valet for the ridiculous price you pay for it (over $80) it is horrible, no elevators accessible to carry luggage you have to walk upstairs and walk the length of the hotel to get to valet very expensive not worth it, when scanning the QR code it says it's not available you have to call down to the desk from a phone and advise them your code, took almost a half hour to get vehicle, overall Hotel was beautiful staff were great valet pathetic zero stars!!

Very poorly maintained room. Carpets smelled terrible. There is no value for money. This is not a typical Fairmont experience. Disappointed.

Beautiful hotel, nice restaurants, and pleasant staff.

Everything was carefully curated, luxurious and serene. Organic, the food, flowers, glassware and wood over plastics use. Le labo brand for bathing. From The Epilogue a story of Beauty and the Beast gifted, to the strawberry dipped in chocolate to the bottle of wine and more gold chocolates. Making sure we were pampered celebrating our anniversary.

Amazing location, quality rooms and amenities.

The room was spacious, the front desk & housekeeping staffs that was assigned to our room is very a helpful & approachable. My family & I will surely comeback.

I love this hotel. Professional and attentive staff throughout the property. Shout out to the valets, they went beyond superior service, even throwing in some humour!
