All was excellent except for a noisy heat pump fan in the breakfast room which could not be disabled (at the time we were there, anyway), perhaps it's been fixed subsequently). We took our breakfast outside. Love the location near the waterfront,

Rooms smell musty

Nice property, looks like they are in the process of improving. Overall nice and clean. Pool water was a comfortable temperature. Nice size, but not much decor especially since no windows. Also had a nice sauna. Very nice gym, which is also open to the public. Breakfast not included, but the Shire restaurant on the hotel property gives 10% off to hotel guests. They had a nice all day breakfast menu.

The staff was super friendly and great to chat with while we went through the formalities. Beds were super comfortable and the room was quite spacious.

Me and my girlfriend enjoyed our stay

We checked in on a Sunday night when it was empty - for two nights. Not sure why they opted to put us in the room right beside the stairs, but it was incredibly noisy at all hours of the day. There is almost no sound proofing between the rooms beside you or above you. Both nights we were woken up by the people above us. We could even hear them peeing.. The second night we had guests beside us and we could hear them slamming doors as they went between rooms and screaming at their TV. The beds were also not comfy at all and the pillows were like half sized basically. While the front desk did offer to switch rooms after I left feedback via expedia after the first night, it would have been more inconvenient than helpful at that point. I also don’t love that they deactivated both of our key cards in what felt like an attempt to make us come talk to them about the feedback we left (it wasn’t a public review). If I wanted to chat about it, I would have. I didn’t love how I felt forced to speak to them about it. The rooms were pretty clean but the hallways and common areas were not well kept. Overall, we stayed here because we had to. Everything else was booked. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff at this hotel is wonderful. They are amazingly helpful. The facilities are well kept and the rooms are kept very clean. The cleaning people clean my room every other day at my request and they kept it very nice. The hotel needs refurbishing as it is very outdated. However, the cleanliness and the staff make up for it.

The staff were amazing and really helpful. The room was clean but there was the odd stain here and there but nothing to write home about and difficult to remove. Parking was great and you could enter the hotel from numerous entries with your room key. The attached restaurant was great too, served a mean breakfast, although on the first night we were informed we got a discount for eating food there, I don't think we ever did despite mentioning a few times, luckily it was reasonably priced. The room was also massive with lots of space and the bathroom had a bath with shower. Would recommend and also has a gym and swimming pool for use free for guests.

Never again

I arrived late and left early. The restaurant closed at 8 pm, so I did not get a chance to try it. Overall it was very clean, but does seem a bit old and tired. There were no bottles of water in the room, but several vending machines with drinks in the halls.

My Brother & I were in town to attend our Father's Funeral. The staff at Simcoe Travelodge were aware of the circumstances. In each of our rooms they left a condolences card. Very thoughtful. We noticed and thanked them.

Great service, room was clean, lots of parking, restaurant on site.

Very clean, comfortable bed, excellent restaurant. My only issue was a couple of loud guys talking in the hallway at 2am. I would stay with them again.

Room was clean and very nice compared to the property. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parked with ease. Only complaint is that there was no bottled water in the room and the vending machine was sold out of water and anything without carbonation. Other than that the stay was great.
